This was my second time at Veritas, it was not as great as our first time. The service was off, we never really knew who our server was and no one checked on us for our food until we were done eating. We were served a drink where the soda had clearly ran out for but we didn’t get ahold of the server for 20 minutes. Also My second pear martini was so different than my first, way stronger and not as tasty. The dessert sounded great but the brownie was lukewarm. Overall the entrees were great but everything else was just ok.

Food and cocktails are exceptional. A nice variety of small plates and larger meals. Especially love the paella to share. The saffron broth and smoked Andouille sausage is so good. The smoked old fashioned is expensive but worth it. Veritas is my new favorite restaurant.

Was in Kansas City on bussiness and was looking for something new. Found Veritas and decided to give it a try. Place was a nice modern building and the hostess and waitress were friendly and helpful with my questions. I tried the Paella and was really glad I did. The rice was just right and the flavors are better than the Spanish restaurant I go to in Pittsburgh. Overall had a nice meal and good experience. Looking forward to coming back on my next trip.Parking: They have valet and an indoor garage as part of the complex they are in. Got there around 6 and was able to find a spot easily.

Celebrated my 40th there with 25 people and it was a great time!
I went to Veritas for the first time this past Friday and placed my order with the rest of my friends. I ordered an appetizer and asked for it to come out with my meal. The rest of the tables entrees come out and only myAppetizer comes out. I'm waiting and the waitress comes out and tells me she forgot to put my entree in and put a rush on it. 20-25 mins later my dish comes out, the rest of the table is practically dome eating. Usually when this happens the manager comes out to apologize or comp your meal/dish. Nothing. The waitress's acted as if nothing was wrong. She then comes out to collect payment, I politely ask her if there is anything she can do about the chicken. She says she will be right back. Comes back a few mins later and says "Im sorry that took so long I had to get permission, I took 25% off" calculating at the table she only took 25% off my entree so $5 for a 20-25 min wait on myDish. I knew she did not talk to the manager. I paid and tipped and left. I called from my car and spoke to a mgmr and explained what had happened, she stated this was never brought to her attention and she was able to locate my ticket and she removed the chicken dish from my bill. It was my first time going and our entire tables first time. Sadly, we collectively agreed it was first and last. The food was good but lying about taking to a mgmr and the service overall is the main reason for the score and likely never dining here again.

This place is a great spot for very good food, excellent service and really loud music. It is a bit pricey but they handled our large group in a fantastic manner. I had the chicken skewers and they were delicious.

Food is fantastic. Lindsey (bartender) and Scott (manager) are phenomenal. Drinks are perfect. Ambiance is calming and pleasant. I highly recommend Veritas! This is our new favorite place!

Overall our experience was poor. My wife took me here for my birthday, and I was extremely disappointed. Based on other reviews online I was excited to give them a try, but now it makes me wonder if these are paid reviews. My wife order iced tea, and it tasted as though it was brewed it a dirty pot or it had been sitting around for days. I ordered some signature cocktails, all tasted watered down. Our server creepily hovered throughout the evening. She would slowly approach, then stand next to our table for a period of time without saying anything, then she would awkwardly ask us questions, lingering for a few more seconds, and then slowly leave. It was by far the worst service I have ever had. My wife ordered the crab cakes, which were dry and had zero flavor to them. I ordered the steak, which was over cooked and my roasted carrots were mostly raw. I would not return and would not recommend to my friends or family. For the cost you are better off going somewhere else.

Nothing short of a phenomenal experience, truly. I am in from out of town, manager came over to talk Bourbon. Service was excellent. Bartender and waitstaff was extremely attentive. And the food was excellent. Highly recommend.
