You cannot leave this place before you have had the Mushroom Toast. It’s perfection. Similar to a bruschetta with goat cheese, fresh herbs than a massive variety of mushrooms atop that have been sautéed to absolute perfection. We ordered 3, one after another bc we couldn’t be done. ?

I love this place! The wine is top notch and service is superb! I always learn a tidbit of knowledge from the staff. They know their wine. I do wish they'd get a hood for the kitchen. The food odors can creep into the entire space. Great if it's something you like - not so much of you don't. If you like good wine this is a must!

This is what KC has needed for years - a true, higher end wine bar. What sets Vintage 78 apart is their incredible selection of wines, most by the 1/2 and full glass. Pair that with Michael and Megan's extensive knowledge (both Soms). It is the place to go to enjoy a glass (or bottle) with friends who know wine or want to know more. But don't overlook the food! For such a small space chef does an amazing job. This is not your normal place of cheese and crackers. We have dinner all the time so come hungry.

Vintage78 is a comfortable, friendly place for a solo woman to have a glass of wine and feel safe and welcome. As a newcomer to Overland Park from San Francisco,, I could not have found a more charming and knowledgeable staff. I felt at home immediately.
Absolutely loved chatting with Mike! We had the cheese clock and everything was delicious. Our wine flight helped us decide on which glass of wine to have. Our only issue was it was a cold day and every time the front door opened it got very cold. Overall a fantastic place with a great concept.
