Excellent brewery. Beer was delicious (loved the foxxy ipa) and the staff was friendly. Highly recommend if you are in the area. They have indoor and outdoor seating and food options.

At first I was stoked to move into a house next to this restaurant. It was very nice looking and I love a good bar and grill type restaurant. So we went over there one night and realized the food was not good at all. The waitress dropped off our food and never came back to check on us (there were 2 other tables there and that was it. With 2 people at each table). We had to ask the bartender for our check... Then we realized once they started to pick up business again after COVID, they have very little parking for there business. So us not having a driveway someone at our house either has to sit outside and ask people to please park elsewhere, if we need to run anywhere while they are busy, so we can park near our home or we have to park down the block if people don't want to move for us. ( I am handicap from a car wreck) It is public parking so I know we can't make anyone move and we don't try to. We ask nicely and they either move or don't move. Their customers also love to hit our shed for some reason when leaving jolly fox, this has happened 4 times now. The cops told me each time that the manager they spoke with about the incident told them they can't prove it was there customers... So they have rude management, horrible wait staff and the food is not good.

We were on our way out of town on Sunday and decided to make a stop at The Jolly Fox. I wasn't impressed w/ the service or food.We were disappointed that they only had their limited brunch menu available but decided to stay anyway. One of us ordered the smoked turkey sandwich the waitress returned about ten minutes later to inform her that they were out of smoked turkey. They hardly have anything on their menu. You would think they would be prepared. There was only about five occupied tables total the whole time we were there. No rush. Several of us got The BLT and said their sandwich was good. My son got a breakfast entree and said it was bland. I went with The Chicken Avocado Wrap. It looked good but it tasted a little funny. I finally realized the issue about half way in. The wrap, instead of grilled chicken as stated in the menu, had a greasy fried chicken pattie cut up inside. Something that looked like it came out of the frozen section at SAMs and was thrown in a fryer. I told the waitress and she said oh you get fried chicken in that wrap. I told her no, it clearly states on the menu that it's grilled. She said she would check with the cook. 20 min past and she never said a word. Went around to other tables. I finally asked her and she said yes..it comes with fried chicken...I was mistaken...I probably thought it was grilled because they grill the wrap . I had taken a photo of the menu to post on Yelp and showed her that it clearly stated the ingredients and grilled chicken breast was one...not fried. (Photos attached)She said oh huh. The check came...nothing was done about the sandwich. She didn't even ask if they could replace it. I was charged full price. I asked her when I handed her my credit card what the cook said when she showed him the menu. She just looked at me with a bland face and said huh sorry about that. I told her they didn't seem too awful sorry. Our waitress had long black hair. If you see her coming...good luck. Truthfully...I would go someplace else.

I so wanted to love this place. My original review was written in 2019 shortly after they opened, so I gave them grace to work out the kinks. Then came the pandemic in 2020 and, as every business did, they had to pivot to survive - which I understand. However, at this point, I feel like I have given them enough tries to firmly stand behind my review. The food has never improved. In fact, this last time (Sept. 2022) it was the worst my husband and I have had here. We ordered cheese curds to start with and were expecting a big basket of them like we had gotten before (in 2021). They are now less than half of that quantity and cost more. They changed their chicken strips to panko breaded strips and they are gross. Mine were over cooked and tough. My husband’s pulled pork sliders were dry and had little meat on them compared to times before (in 2021).Their beer is still good. I wish they would branch out a little and add more varieties. Would be nice to see sours, saisons, fruit beers, etc. This is a nice place to grab a beer occasionally, but unfortunately, we won’t be ordering food here ever again. From 2019:“The food is not what makes this place, it's their beer! My husband and have been here twice and each time it was a friendly and inviting atmosphere. We were greeted with smiles from every server as soon as we walked in. There's a very cozy and relaxing feel to this place. I have only ordered food (chicken & waffles) once here and I was not impressed. Wasn't a fan of the sauce they choose to put on it and the waffle was too sweet tasting for me. But like I said, the beer is what makes this place so great! From the ones I've tried, they are flavorful and distinctive! They have a wide variety, too. If you enjoy craft beer, you need to stop in sometime! I will be a returning customer.”

First off I love barbecue and I especially love burnt ends. If you love barbecue and especially if you love burn ends this is not the place to go to. Also the baked beans at this place were more like pork and beans with a light amount of brown sugar mixed in with it . Again horrible. Don't know who cooks the barbecue at this place or oversees it, but based on this one time trip there, I will not be returning. Anytime I'm asked about barbecue in my town of Pittsburg, I will certainly voice my displeasure. Oh, and let me say that I got my order to go and they had no bags to put the food in nor did they have any plasticware. Absolutely horrible. I eat lots of barbecue and I am particular with Gates Barbecue in Kansas City, especially burnt ends there. The difference between the two would be like comparing a pro football team against an Elementary flag football team.
