We were taken to a table upon arrival, but after noticing several empty booths, we asked to be seated at one. We were told they were all spoken for. The entire time we were several of the booths remained empty. Disappointing. The food, as usual, was great and our server was very nice.

Great food and a comfortable place to meet friends, visit and linger. Service on this particular night was good, just not great. Recommend the trout... It was amazing.

The menu selections are eclectic without being over the top. I was pleasantly surprised that prices are reasonable. Friendly waitstaff. Nice atmosphere andexceptionally clean. One of my favorites. We tend to go early as it does get louder as the night progresses. Very popular place! Has a nice neighborhood vibe. Drinks are well made. You do not have to wonder, "Did they put any liquor in this?"

Cute small bar area. Brunch only menu until 2 on Sundays. Dining room area is confined, sleepy atmosphere.

Food and service were great! The Tavern is our “go to” spot for many meals! Christina assisted us Sunday and she is fantastic! Along with our other favorites, Brian and Nichole! They treat us like family and we appreciate them so much!

It’s okay to good, but the food didn’t live up to expectations for this level of restaurant. Went for brunch. Had a standard bloody mary (not the fancier variety offered on the brunch menu) that wasn’t seasoned well, was like just v8 and vodka. Had the crab cake benedict and the hollandaise needed more lemon juice and the type of crab used was quite sweet so didn’t work as nicely for this dish. The potatoes were really good, though. Tavern isn’t completely off my list, I’ll go back and try different things next time.

This place is good! I came here for Valentine's day and had looked up the menu before. With all of the options and unique pairings, I was extremely excited to try. Our waiting was super super sweet and really helpful! Howeverrrrr, the food fell a little flat for me. If this was a sports bar or something I would be impressed, but it seems marketed to be a little more upscale. I had the bacon, brie and pear grilled cheese w tomato soup. The soup was wonderful, but the sandwich did not impress me. It wasn't very full and the bacon did not really go with the other flavors in my opinion. The calamari was pretty good for calamari and it was fun to banana peppers with it but there were a lottt more peppers than octopi. My boyfriend got the crab cake BLT and the flavor was completely overly fishy and they had a very cakey texture. The cajun brussels sprouts were the best thing we ordered. The chocolate old fashioned was delicious and so were the donuts! Overall, I would come back and try something new on the menu, but it didn't really blow me away.

What a great little place. I love the tavern feel, both the drinks and food were excellent. It was a little crowded when we got there so we waited by the bar and grabbed a table when one opened up. Definitely worth the wait as we enjoyed everything.

We love Tavern at a prairie Village and done there at least 5 times per year. It's a great venue with a neighborhood vibe that is upscale but not pretentious. The menu lacks imagination but most of the offerings are excellent. We especially enjoy their squash soup and salad items. Overall, the experience is always consistent and very dependable. The wait staff is on point and professional. We will return.

This is an awesome place to meet with friends. Food and service was great! They have a Happy Hour including drinks and appetizers..........unfortunately , you needed to be seated in the bar area to get the discount! Since it was stated in the menu or website, we found out from our waiter once we were seated. Little bit of a disappointment.
