This was my second time eating at Corkie's (first time I had a couple of my kids with me and we grabbed lunch was really good). This morning I needed to kill time waiting on a friend during her appointment, so I ran over for breakfast. It was fantastic! I had a full order of biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. One, the price was very reasonable, the portions were huge, the bacon was cooked perfectly, the service was great! The owner is friendly, knows his regulars, but treats those of us who are not, like we are. I highly recommend this diner!

Me and a buddy go around trying new places we haven't ate before. Me being on a no bread diet was a little hesitant and unsure if they would lettuce wrap the burger. Guy taking the order wasnt sure but it didnt stop him from putting in the order. Was the first person to ask for a lettuce wrap burger and they did not disappoint. That freshly made burger hit the spot.

Quaint, comfortable, friendly place to go. Good prices and food. Walk in, order from menu at counter or check out menu at your table. Then go to counter and order. When ready, food is served to you at table. Nice Mom and Pop eatery in historic Lee section of town on Santa Fe.

GREAT food and atmosphere! Bruce is the owner and he's there every time I come in. I love that they have daily specials of home-cooked meals. It reminds me so much of my childhood and dinners around the family dining room table. There's nothing artificial about this place! All authentic, American-created comfort food!

Great breakfast! Visiting from out of town and found this on Yelp. Ordered chicken fried steak and it was perfect. Crispy outside and tender and juicy inside. Tasty gravy. Eggs done to order. Very friendly and attentive staff. Perfect small town diner.

Google maps took us to back entrance to this hole in the wall gem. I ordered roast beef dinner and it was like heaven opened up and beamed this dinner onto my plate. Green beans tasted fresh, mashed potatoes and brown gravy made your grandma's seem like child's play. It would actually make you want to slap your Grandma for not making it correctly. The older gentlemen working counter was very kind. They did earn 5 stars!

Come on ya'll. I love the nostalgic idea of a diner from yesteryear. Diners that served simple, delicious house-made fare. Unfortunately Corkie's does not fill that description. The chicken fried steak sandwich is a frozen patty from Sysco Foods. Hot roast beef is boil-in-a-bag. The decor was kitschy and I loved that. The woman behind the counter taking orders and the young lady delivering food were both friendly. I love the fact that fellow Yelpers say that the diner has been in business for 40 years. Kudos to him/her. And there is nothing wrong with what they are serving in a clean, well staffed restaurant. It was a hot meal on a rainy afternoon. But I think it's disingenuous to fellow Yelpers to represent this as a five star diner. Just saying.
