We attended the Tea with tea sandwiches and desserts. The atmosphere of the "castle" like building from the 1800s was lovely.

The service here was excellent! From seating to leaving, everyone was friendly and always checking on us. The location was extremely unique and definitely worth the experience at a minimum. Although, it was a bit confusing of whether you should go in the front door or through the patio given the parking lot is on the backside - but either way works, or I assume as we just went through the back. The inside had a great ambiance with exposed stone and decor. I don't think you could pick a bad spot to sit - whether on the main floor or balcony. We got the baked ricotta appetizer - which started off tasting great with the balsamic and mushrooms, but they could have added much more on top as the ratio was too much ricotta. If there was a good layer of mushroom/balsamic it would have been great but it was an only few big chunks. Unfortunately the ricotta was very peppery (and I love pepper), so there was nothing to really balance it out once you eat the couple of mushrooms. For entrees, we got the filet mignon and chicken pot pie. The filet mignon was decent, but I really don't think it was a filet mignon as advertised. Given the fat/silverskin/muscle fibers it had, my guess is it was just a higher cut of the tenderloin vs the tip. The pot pie had a great crust, although a bit burnt on the edges. The filling was great and the chicken was very good. Unfortunately, the filling had a very strong herb and smoky taste to it, which overpowered the whole thing. I'm not sure if they use a wood oven, but the smokiness was a bit too much and too rich for me. We will try it again given the level of service we received, as I hope the dishes just had an off night for us.

March 2024Following a show at Aztec, it made perfect sense to return here with my wife and parents. They never disappoint. Lovely atmosphere, always very friendly staff, and beautiful food. I enjoyed the lobster bisque but was especially blown away by the lobster pasta. Wandering Vine’s chef is truly creative and I greatly admire her colorful original plating.June 2023My parents enjoyed Wandering Vine so much that we were all excited to go back when they were in town over the weekend. Funny enough, we ate at the same table where we sat last time. This place certainly has a unique charm to it, with a nice atmosphere that you won't quite find anywhere else. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and our service was wonderful. I had the braised lamb shoulder pasta. It was cooked to perfection and the flavors were fantastic. The toasted pine nuts were a nice touch. The only thing I would have changed is substituting the edamame for something else. It added nice color, but it was a little too much crunch for my taste. My wife had the special, which was goat cheese cavatelli pasta with crab meat. Absolutely delicious. My dad enjoyed the filet mignon and we all enjoyed our wine flights--one of my favorite things about this restaurant. Mine included wines from Argentina, France, and Washington. We didn't save room for dessert, but we did get a taste of the gazpacho, which was very flavorful with a nice kick to it. They are rotating their menu in a few weeks, so definitely reason to return.Feb. 2023Had dinner here with my wife and parents and we LOVED it. Sometimes it can be hard to find a place that satisfies both of my parents but we all thought the food was delicious and original. The staff was extremely friendly and professional as well. The place itself is quite unique too and I would recommend it for a nice romantic dinner. We can't wait to go back.

We had a wonderful evening at Wandering Vine. Dining in the castle, gave it a very special ambience. The food was exquisite and we really enjoyed our server very much. It is a pricey restaurant, but we consider it to be worth it for the very highest level of fine dining and Iambience. We enjoyed the wine flights, and again our food was really outstanding !Can't wait to try the patio this summer.

1 of the best dining experiences I have ever had!!!1st..the place is absolutely gorgeous. Both of the owners Dan & Carla came to our table, talked about the history, and made us feel so welcomed. Our server Randi (sp?) was a dynamo! Our food was exquisite. And Carla's end of meal presentation was the cherry on top. If you're looking for the perfect date night, look no further!

Well to start off this was a reservation for my wife's birthday. We arrived a little early thinking it would be fine to sit at the bar and try some tastings. Since we were early the members of the party that smoked had a cigarette prior to going inside. Instead of being greeted warmly upon arrival we got a very cold reception seemingly due to smoking. Clearly being early (despite the venue opening at 11am) to enjoy a tasting was an inconvenience to the staff. After being sat and waiting for the kitchen to open we ordered to small plates to start us off. The mini charcuterie board was listed as having 3 cheeses, we only were served 2. Upon pointing this out to our server, she ignored the fact that we were shorted food by the kitchen. After much debate among the party dining with a restaurant that shorts you food, a server that explains all the things on the charcuterie board came from Aldi, and the entire experience ruins by the staff's horrendous ability to act as hosts we left. My party drove to this establishment from Omaha, to enjoy a birthday meal for my spouse. This was to be a very special occasion for us was nigh ruined due to the rude, and inhospitable staff at this supposed fine dining establishment. I would rather go to Aldi myself to make a charcuterie board than pay double or triple for the joke that was severed to us last night. In addition to the server explaining the wine we wanted to buy a bottle of was supposedly the most expensive bottle and I am appalled this place even has any business. We were served the wrong bottle verified via tasting the original tasting glass from the flight we ordered. Either we were served the wrong wine, or they con the idiotic locals that frequent this place well enough with their Aldi charcuterie to think they are in fact a fine dining restaurant worthy of a Michelin star. The horrifically comedic attempt at a foolish server to try to be some sort of sommelier was a joke worse than puns you hear from your father.

Wandering Vine is an absolute treat. I went with a couple girlfriends for brunch, we are planning on making it a monthly ritual. I also can't wait to try their dinner! The service is outstanding, the owners are hands on and incredible, food was superb. 10/10 recommend checking it out if you haven't yet!

There truly are no words to describe what an amazing experience we had at this incredible place. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at The Castle, and to say the food was great is the understatement of the century!!! It literally was the best meal either of us have had, and I’m a fat guy, so trust me I’ve had a buuuuunch of great meals!!! Lol Every bite was truly an experience!!!Not only was the food phenomenal, but Mrs. Carla, the owner is just a jewel of a human being. She absolutely could not have been more kind and gracious to us. She told us the history of the building, which was fascinating, and not only that, she took my wife and I around to several different spots around the castle and took our picture so we’d always remember what a special night it was. I’d leave a million star review if I could, as this place deserves to be recognized as the Diamond that it is!!! It’s a must for anybody looking to have an all around night you’ll remember the rest of your life!!! Thank you Mrs. Carla, and Mark our server who did a fantastic job as well, we will be back!!!

Gaylen was or sever...amazing conversation and education of the menu and history. Brunch was amazing to say the least, homemade breakfast sausage was out of this world.. What a wonderful experience overall, definitely a hidden diamond in the KC metro for sure. The owners are wonderful folks that interact with guests.
