Not great. Wasn't what we were expecting from an authentic restaurant at all. We would be willing to go back and try again as perhaps it was a rough night.

Nice tacos, solid chips and nice taqueria. Would absolutely put this in my rotation of delicious work day quick fare.

By far the most authentic Mexican food in topeka, the meats are marinated perfectly and the churiqueso is an amazing appetizer!

Move over EVERY other "Mexican" restaurant in Topeka (that goes for you Lawrence and Kansas City as well). Experience the most authentic and prepared with care cultural cuisine that I have had the pleasure to enjoy in a LONG time! From the get go you will notice the focus on quality ingredients and traditional preparation techniques. From the flour or corn tortillas to the tamale like masa base for the petroleras, or the tender and juicy chicken breast inside their mammoth flautas, you will notice the dedication to exceptional food. We can't wait for a return visit to hopefully enjoy their famous birria tacos which were sold out last night. If it's anything like the authentic cochinita or carnitas I had it will be worth the return trip. On one point I will part from other reviews here who enjoyed the complimentary taquitos instead of the usual chips and salsa found at most places. As a big fan of quality chips and salsa (both of which I know they are more than capable of producing on a very high level) I would definitely prefer them over the taquitos which I found to be the least special as well as untimely part of the meal. Pretty good Margs to boot. So I hope readers here will give them a try for lunch or dinner.

Walked in expecting the average mexican fare but ohhh nooo! Seated right away and handed menus. We gave our drink orders -1 mango margarita and 1 watermelon margarita. Reading the menu I realized I was in for an adventure. Many, many unique choices. I ordered the enchiladas verde and hubby ordered the skewered cooked and thinly sliced pork with tortillas and cucumbers. I also ordered a side of beans. Our drinks came quickly and as we sipped and waited our waitress Keke brought some lovely taquitos with salsa verde (their answer to chips and salsa)as we waited we chatted and people watched. And waited. And waited. A full 25 minutes went by and our food finally arrived. OMY! It was delicious. I received 4 enchiladas and...a STEAK!! Also none of that "spanish" red rice stuff I received fluffy spiced white rice. Everything tasted delicious-even the beans. Hubs plate was beautifully executed and he was so satisfied he didn't give me his review until after he ate. Generous portions, good prices. We had to order the chocoflan-flan plus cheesecake! We were full but still devoured the whole thing. All in all a wonderful meal but I had to take off a star for what I thought was an excessive wait time for the entrées. If you go, and please do, don't go already hungry.

I didn't recognize many things on the menu so I spent some time reading the descriptions and got a chicken dish with mole. The waiter made sure I knew what mole was, just in case. He also helped my wife order. We nursed our arge and tasty margarhetas because the food took a while. We were given appetizers to keep us happy. They did. Our entrees were very good, much more savory than your typical Mex place. Everything was fresh and perfectly seasoned. We will be back.

Great food and great prices. As a Mexican, I authorize this restaurant as having authentic Mexican food with traditional flavors.

This was amazing food. Not your everyday Mexican restaurant. Instead of chips and salsa, they bring taquitos with guacamole dip. I had Petroleras with cochintita meat. Husband ate Alambres Hawaiano. Food was very authentic and service was excellent. Restaurant and restrooms were clean. I highly recommend.

Good food and service but the drinks were pretty pricey

Kansas Plaza prices for Mexican food in Topeka! Humm NO! There are Authentic Mexican restaurants in KCK that charge half the price for real authentic Mexican food, I rather make the drive ?

We tried dinner here on Tuesday and it was phenomenal! Our waiter was so kind and attentive, and answered all of our questions. We can’t wait to be back, my only “complaint” is the menu was so good it was hard to decide on one dish!

Fist time back in person since COVID started - crazy to think it’s been that long but as usual, these guys are on the ball. The food is awesome and the staff is even better. Highly recommend.
