Not LGBT friendly. I've been getting the same drink for 11 years the lady talked to me like I was stupid and only gave me half of what I paid for. Please get someone young to replace the old lady working there, they're to closed minded and disrespectful to transgender people.

The line at the drive thru is always long. People go there because it's Starbucks. The drinks are subpar and the service is worse. There are local coffee shops in the area that are much better, with much better prices.

I went to the store at 4015 SW 10th Ave in Topeka, Kansas. I had a gift card and was using it toward a new cup. I looked at all of the cups/mugs and then noticed that Starbucks has instant coffee! When I approached the register with my new cup in hand, I had planned to ask if the first coffee was included. Before I could even open my mouth the barista said "Welcome to Starbucks, next time you come in don't go through our drawers". I was shocked and confused. I had to ask three separate times what drawers were. She told me that she had walked around to see me going through the bottom drawer-- which she finally identified as the shelves where the cups and coffees were. I told her that the instant coffee was on the bottom shelf and how else was I to read them but bend down. She still had not looked me in the face yet and said that "lots of cups get stolen." Now I was angry and hurt! How dare she accuse me. She said that she didn't accuse me of anything, she nicely asked me not to go through their drawers. I had not touched anything but a few styles of mugs/cups and the straws in the zipper pouch. I looked at them and then of course the price and put them back where I found them. I never touched the coffees- only looked. I asked for a manager. She ignored me and told me the total for my purchase. I gave her the gift card and asked again for a manager. She told me how much the gift card had taken off of the total. I asked again for a manager. She finally told me that there were no managers there. I don't know if she was being truthful or not, but all I could do is pay for my mug. I told her at this point that she knew that she was in the wrong because she couldn't even look at me. She told me that yes she could and that is why she gave me a 10% discount. (mind you that I had already paid by now and had no idea) and that her manager would never approve it. $2.50 discount did not alleviate any of the hurt over her treating me like a criminal. She hurt my feelings and I was filled with tears and crying as I called family and talked to them about it. There I was in Dillons, with countless others - even an employee who was 50 feet away and thought I was talking to him because I was using headset to talk with my family. I was embarrassed that I couldn't keep my composure over this young woman and her accusatory words. I can see why others have complained about this location and what the overall feeling of customers is very negative. I felt as if I was a bother, and that she had singled me out and decided that I wasn't worthy of being treated with respect. It is not a location where I felt welcomed at all. It was an extremely unfriendly place to go. NEVER again will I go to that location for anything.

I will recommend Starbucks anywhere. But the experience at this Starbucks is different from any other. They don't ask your name, they don't personalize it, and they're definitely in no rush, no matter how many people are in line. It would probably be OK but how do you mess up the Starbucks recipe? I mean doesn't the computer tell them what to put into it? I reluctantly give three stars. It is the most impersonal experience of 30 states of Starbucks.

Starbucks inside Dillons does a great job even with the tough holiday crowd. Online order filled perfectly several times throughout the week. Some specialty orders were completely right which doesn't always happen at other places.
