The staff here is wonderful and the food is amazing!! Love the California Rolls, the Fried Crab Cakes are a must try! ❤️ Definitely recommend trying their spicy mayo mixed with the eel sauce for dipping your sushi!

I thought this was one of the worst Japanese restaurants I have ever been anywhere in the world. Ordered Carfornia and Spicy Tuna rolls. I had to ask for soy sauce and Wasabi. Do I really need to ask for soy sauce when eating sushi not to mention no Wasabi and sliced pickled ginger??I never thought ingredients for California rolls can be wrong but it was completely wrong. Spicy Tuna roll did not look and taste appetizing. It looked like red lipsticks got lost in rice paste.Tonkatsu Bento was even worse. Tonkatsu should be thick sliced meat of fried pork with fat. It was thinly sliced like a beef jerky or thickness of 2 layers of chewing gum. Sauce was completely wrong too.I told my honest opinion as a Japanese person and this is not acceptable. They said I am sorry but billed me $28 of the food I did not even eat. I was told they can talk to the manager but there is nothing they can do. Study Japanese cuisine then open a restaurant to charge money for the food that is good enough to call Japanese. No Japanese with right mind will appreciate the food this restaurant serves and call it Japanese.

Love love love this place!! Best sushi in my opinion. I've tried other places and they just don't really compare... My entire family loves it!! Only reason im giving them 4 stars and not 5 is because you have to pay for all the sauces, and they tend to skimp on the amount they give. If im paying for it, i want a decent amount you know. But as far as taste and flavor and sturdiness, they excel every time!!!!

This place is going downhill fast. Service was nonexistent. Four of their employees saw us standing at the entrance but we were ignored. It was around 5:30 in the afternoon so it wasn't busy at all. Fortunately there was another place a block away that took really good care of us. It's nice to know that there are other options.

When we came in no one came to us to seat us at the table. We were completely ignored. Finally my husband went to the bar and asked if someone can help us, as an answer he got “we are busy”. After we got our table we order vegetarian sushi rolls that was supposed to have asparagus in it and it did not and had a lot of lettuce instead. When I complained the waiter took it back and stuck one asparagus in the middle of the role. They never brought my husband’s miso soup. They finally served the sushi but without wasabi or ginger , nor the containers for it. The rolls were chewy. This was an awful experience especially for my husband’s birthday. Don’t recommend this place.

If you have allergies be really really careful. We went tonight because historically they have been really good about allergens and checking everything but tonight was not great. It seemed like the new server was just thrown on the floor with no training. He was good for a moment checking but it appeared he didn't put that there was a gluten/wheat allergy (both of us have celiac) and two of our rolls came with sauce that was not gluten free. We were not informed of this until we had begun eating.I'm really lucky that this allergy isn't one I need epi for.The manager did comp us but I'm still just really disappointed because I really used to like it here.

My partner and I decided to stop in for a quick little lunch date, as we both have grown to enjoy this sushi joint as we are new residents of Kansas. The food we got was great, as we’ve never been disappointed by it. However, we chose to split an alcoholic beverage, but was met with a challenge. As we are used to (since we both turned 21 within the last 6 months, have vertical identification cards, and are awaiting our new ones), we were kindly asked for our ID’s and handed them over. When our drink was finished being prepared, a different server(?) came over and asked ONLY to see my ID and interrogated me on the address. As I stated, we both have just moved into the state from across the country. I hesitated since I am no longer used to the address on there and the server continued to look skeptical and stared uncomfortably at both of us. Once I finally did remember the information, she turned and harshly sat the glass and ID on the table between us and left without a word. I understand the importance of making sure they do not serve to someone underage, but I did not appreciate the rude interaction and being singled out, as it left things awkward for the rest of the meal. Hoping for a more courteous interaction when visiting next time.

We always enjoy our sushi rolls from Ninza. We got three this time, all great, love their house salad. Noticed while we got takeout that they have a good happy hour, will have to come back for that. Did watch them microwave the edemame at the bar we ordered while we waited, it was fine, not great, but I would say keep the microwave in the back.

Ordered to go, went inside to pick up the food and the waitress was eating in clear site of guests, then told me through a mouth full of food that she would be with me shortly while she washed her hands. The avocado salad was basically an iceberg salad mix with a sliced avocado on top, plus sesame seeds and dressing.... for the price, the quantity should have been double if not triple what was received. The spider roll was dry and lacked flavor, in addition to being about half the amount expected for the price. Grocery store sushi is better!Won't be revisiting.
