Two moms with 6 kids visiting Wichita googled this place and looked good and we were exited to take pie back to our hotel rooms. Everything was gross except one child’s country fried steak. The clubs were dry and bread tasted stale. Kids corn dog nuggets were gross looking and tasted the same my child said. The French dip was all fat. The place made it seem like it was known for the pie we had French silk.. cheesecake.. butterfinger and OreoGot back to hotel rooms and it was such a disappointment. Our kids were exited for a treat and it was thrown out after one bite. Whipped topping was old and the piece my child had was just a hunk not even a piece. Server was great with our bunch.

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Our coffee was lukewarm at best but the worst is that the coffee tasted like dirty dish water. While we waited for our food we started looking at reviews and found another person stated their pie tasted like dirty dish water. I got the French today but it was mainly just toast with powdered sugar. My fiancé had gravy was cold and sausage that was edible. We decided it was best to leave. We got our check and our waitress asked about our food and told her. She said that a manger would be up front to help. We went to pay and the kid asked us about our food I said terrible. He said “sorry and your total is 17.95.” Ran my card and nothing else was said. We just left and went on with our day. End there off the day, food is terrible, coffee taste like dirty dish water. We will never return.

My Reuben was on the grill for too long and the bread and sauerkraut had a burnt taste! And who in their right mind puts pickles on a loaded baked potato! I will never pay for anything from Spears Restaurant again!

This restaurant was definitely our “to go to place” while we lived in Wichita. We now reside in Arkansas and I have yet to find pumpkin bread, warm from the oven to the table here! Oh how I miss you. When back home Spear’s is a must.

Food was good the waitress was very rude and very unattentive. We never received a refill on our drinks. She stated she was very busy and had alot of tables. I am not sure where that was my fault. I guess she likes just working for her wage and no tips. That is what she received from me it was a Sunday at about 12:00 right after church. Hopefully she will change her attitude. I was on the side where it was the buffet. If the waitress does not have time to refill drinks put in a fountain where we can wait on ourselves or hire more workers. Sorry you have poor staff that just brings your business down. There was 7 of us at this table and 3 separate families. No one left her a tip. That is sad. Kathy H

That breakfast buffet is awesome but I got to tell you when I got the pie for dessert instead of a file inside to cut the bar of my jail cell there was a Bible tract telling me to find God which I did in the bathroom handing out

Breakfast Buffet is the way to go. All of the basics are here, fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes. French toast sticks, apple or cherry topping, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, and pastries.
