“Awaken Bakery is a gluten free paradise! Everything I’ve tried is excellent from cheesecake, cinnamon rolls, sweet rolls, cake, cupcakes. All amazing. Great texture and flavor. You cannot go wrong with anything you pick. My husband doesn’t eat GF and he enjoys Awaken’s goodies as well. They also have a great drink selection with unique flavors of kombucha. The service is always excellent. It’s family run which creates such a welcoming environment. Even their kids are on the register and working the counter. I’ve never not been greeted with a warm smile and friendly face! I cannot recommend Awaken Bakery enough!”

“This lovely ice cream store sits in a beautiful historic building in downtown Bowling Green, Ky. As unique as the building is, the ice cream is equally astounding. Each flavor is carefully made with a unique flavor from many local products. The storefront makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. It is a nostalgic asset to the city and should be preserved. Susan Warrell, the owner, is dedicated to creating a wonderful environment and ice cream for all to enjoy.”

“Kindness Cafe, with its relaxed atmosphere and delicious food, may be my new fave restaurant. I visited with a group of eight and we placed our orders at the front counter. I had half of the Everything Avo and half of the Sweet Tooth and it was so tasty. Portion sizes are good and everything is so fresh. The executive burger is very tasty with a unique taste coupled with fries and iced coffee latte that is very delicious. The grilled chicken sandwich is juicy and tasty, their chocolate shake is just the right amount of sweetness. First time customer here but will definitely be back!”

Recommend the bourbon-smoked sweet potatoes (also can be a dessert) and the two spinach sides; steak toppings are Oscar or the Asiago butter; appetizers would be the tuna tartar, calamari, or the crab cake. “We had had a long day of driving and needed to grab dinner after settling into our hotel. Once the four of us determined we wanted Mexican, we found this place, confident it would be good given the great reviews. It did not disappoint! At first we did not think we had the right location because it is located within an AM Express gas station. The restaurant occupies a portion of the space. We LOVED our server who is also the cashier. I ordered a vegetarian quesadilla. I have never had fresher, more flavorful vegetables like this in a Mexican restaurant. Crisp tender chunks of broccoli, perfectly cooked (not wilted!) red peppers, and slivered onions were nestled in melted cheese inside an amazing homemade flour tortilla. The other three loved their meals as well -- two had burritos and deemed them excellent. The service was soooo good. I wish this place was located in my town because I would fast become a regular.”

“Neat place, we enjoyed our visit very much. I had no idea they had a full bar too, and their drink specials were amazing. They don't have a restaurant but do post about the upcoming food trucks on their Facebook page. They also allow you to bring food in from elsewhere, so we picked up some tasty grub from Burger & Bowl before we got our beer on.The only thing that made me sad is they do sell their beer in cans, but they only had 2 of them. There was a particularly wonderful Belgian on tap that we hoped to take some cans of and bring to our bottle share group, but it wasn't one of the available varieties. Maybe next time we're visiting that area we'll get lucky! And if not, we'll just stop in for some tasty pints.”
