The food was wonderful. The staff was friendly and attentive. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a genuine Italian meal - time to leave Olive Garden behind, folks.

If you're in Bardstown or nearby, make sure to visit Primo Cafe. No exaggerating: the pizza Margherita was the closest I've had to a Neapolitan pizza (which I've been lucky to taste) and the Spaghetti dish with the meat sauce was light and tasty. Try the Tiramisu, too: very good. The other great thing about the restaurant was the service: fast, efficient and authentically friendly. It's a small restaurant so make sure to reserve a table, because you don't want to miss the experience!
Great pasta and pizza! Really convenient location and friendly service! The price is right too.

We liked this place alot! The food was fantastic and the service good. In the European style ( no free refills)...the drinks are served in very small glasses that need refilling often. We sat in the bar area and the girls worked together keeping glasses full. Here's the slightly negative points. We didn't realize that reservations were needed. We didn't have one. We were seated at a high top and I'm disabled. It was tough because it was a very HIGH table..when we first came in, there was an empty table with a 6:30 reserve on it. We arrived at eight and left around nine. That table was still sitting empty with the sign on it. Why weren't we seated there? The second...there is no bread served with meals. There is bread available for purchase. It was focaccia. It was warm and soft and pillowy. It came with warm marinara and was delicious. As with many others that commented, I think some bread should be included with the meal. Over all...this is a great place to eat.

No better pizza exists in the vicinity of several hundred miles. Most mid-western pizzas are too heavy and too greasy. Not Cafe Primo’s. Their pizza is light but tasty, which is extremely hard to do. Even before the first bite, you can tell it is made with care and quality ingredients. If you like real Brooklyn pizza you will love Primo's. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The owners Damir and Maja go out of their way to accommodate your request. Highly recommended.
