I like coming here for breakfast with my son (pancakes). For us it’s a better alternative to Cracker Barrel and Waffle House, for cost ease, and comfort.Kid-friendliness: Good breakfast menu for kids. Diane take too long to get food. Large booths

Had the most amazing breakfast. Terrific wait staff. Truly a special place. My Uber driver said best breakfast in town, and he was completely spot on. So glad I gave them a try. You won't be

Food is great, service is not so great. Arrived around 9am to get breakfast. Had to wait for a long time for a table and longer to get food. Didn’t get a refill the whole time. Do not recommend taking kids here, there were a group of guys at the bar that were cursing and loud. One of them got up and a handgun fell out of his pocket and smacked the ground. Imagine if it had went off…They are very busy and understaffed, not really the servers fault.

Margie takes such good of us. She is stellar. We have been going to Doug's every weekend for at least 3 yrs. The owners, Doug and Becky, are very friendly and care about their customers.

Stopped by on the way to bowling green Harley for lunch. Had a small wait but we were seated within 10 minutes. Our server was good at first but once we got our food there were no refills to be had. I had the chili which was supposed to be first but came out with the meal. It was homemade and it was okay. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it wasn't shredded and it was fatty. Ir looked like it was a roasted pork made in a pot. It was just okay. The Mac and cheese was plain. Overall it was an okay meal. I wished I would have gotten breakfast which looked better.

Came here around noon and it was very slow. Not a lot of people inside so service was extremely fast.Decided today we would have the Jalapeño Poppers which were good but not very spicy. They took the seeds out of the peppers to tone them down a bit. It came with cheese on the inside along with the poppers so it was still very good.My wife ordered the Pulled Pork Plate. For the price you pay ($11.00) you get what you pay for. She said it was good except she wishes there was more! Along with that she had the hush puppies as a side which took us by surprise when we noticed it had corn on the inside. We absolutely loved this as all hush puppies in Texas are made this way. We prefer these ones over the hush puppies at say Cookout.I myself ordered the Double Bacon Cheese Burger. In my honest opinion, it was a very good burger. I did not expect it to be as big as it was. Sadly, I had to take a take a to go container because of the size. My only regret is wishing I could have ate the entire thing. While we were here extra staff was cleaning to ensure cleanliness by sweeping and wiping down tables. You can tell they at least like their jobs as the waitresses and kitchen staff could be heard laughing and having a good time.Overall this spot is fantastic and wish it was open longer than 5AM - 2PM daily. I could see this being a fantastic dinner spot especially during football season. We will be coming back in the future to try more of the menu.
