No employees to take orders or prepare food. Arrived at 8pm on Friday night. Was advised by the front desk to go wait for the employee to come. Waited 15 minutes no employee emerged.

I sometimes eat here at the cafe in the morning for breakfast. It is an awesome buffet in the morning and always great food. Staff is always warm and friendly. I would recommend this to anyone either staying at the hotel, or just wanting to enjoy a great breakfast buffet. Just remember when the hotel is full to realize there will be a wait, but most other times you can get set pretty easily. So, for sure check this place out!

Went here because 5th Street had a wait. They had a buffet, eggs, bacon & sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy. It wasn't bad. It was late in the morning and I'm guessing the buffet would have been better earlier in the day. We were the only ones there so the waitress just had to sit and look at us to anticipate our needs. The cook did make a few fresh waffles and apparently he would make up a fresh omelette also. I thought it a bit expensive at $15.99 for what was on the buffet but the was edible and my better half didn't want to wait at 5th Street which is where we usually eat. Just have to remember not to wait until church lets out to go there on Sunday. I guess what I'm saying is there must be a reason this place was empty while the other place had a wait. Maybe no one knows about the restaurant at the holiday inn?

To few people to wait on people, you could tell they worked a lot of hours and we're tired. Food was great.

Saw this restaurant featured in an article as 1 of 5 of the best restaurants in Kentucky and it's also the most accessible without traveling for a few hours. However, directions brought us to a holiday inn express and when I stepped inside to ask some questions, the hotel employee said the restaurant wouldn't be open until 5. Eh. Might consider updating that on Google so no one else wastes their time. Hold it down man. Hopefully it's good for someone!

This is the Holiday Inn restaurant. I got coffee and my wife got the breakfast buffet. Coffee was ok, breakfast was terrible and overpriced.

All things considered this could have really only gone 1 of 2 ways. I'm delighted to say that the breakfast buffet was great, even without ordering an omelette or waffle.

We had no idea this was in BG! It was amazing. The food was great and the atmosphere was very quiet and peaceful. It felt open and spacious, like you had the whole place to yourself.

Graduation get together at the last minute. Everything was booked but this place. A diamond in the ruff because who would have thought a Hotel would have such a nice restaurant, great food, excellent service and beautiful setting . All 10 people could enjoy great food and hear each other speak.

Do you want to feel like you're on vacation but not wanting to spent the money on a hotel than go to the holiday inn and eat at hartland cafe! As soon as you walk into the hotel you will see a beautiful waterfall and lights.. I think most people think you have stay at the hotel to eat at the cafe but you do not! I have been several times with a group for my homemakers club and for bunco and once by my self for lunch. I love the dinner menu there are choices such as the burger , really good burger.. The burger is huge I usually take half of it home. The hot brown is the best hot brown I've ever had! I'm not huge hot brown fan either! The hot brown is huge and enough to share. The chicken quesadilla is huge and very good as well. All of the dinner entrees come with one side which I was surprised the chicken quesadilla did too usually it's just an appetizer at most places. They have a great asparagus soup which you can add to your meal for just two dollars. It's huge bowl! The dinner menu also has more nicer expensive options like steak and pasta. The lunch menu has less choices. They have a breakfast buffet I'd love to try. I love the food here, the amount of food is great, dinner rolls, and one waitress that always serves us at night very friendly even remembers what I drink. But sometimes the service is slow when place had never been busy while iv been there, forgotten our rolls more than once. The dessert are over five dollars which I think us kind of pricey and it's an additional price to add meat to your salad . I have to give a three star rating but please come and check this place out!
