“My family and I are ALWAYS pleased to eat and shop at Behar Cafe! Everything on the menu is good. I favor the çevapi with ajvar sauce and sour cream, though! I have dined in and also taken out through the years. The family who runs the cafe is friendly and now that I think of it -- they've never made a mistake on our order even after several years! Remarkable place, wonderful gem.“
“I’ve been going to this place ever since I was little. Their environment is safe and sweet, family owned. Their food is absolutely delicious and the portions are phenomenal! If I get word we’re getting sams, I’m immediately happy. They are also very nice and greet everyone with respect. Love the place!“
“Food and service were amazing! I found this place on Groupon, we are not from the area but traveling through. The crab beignets, filet (so tender) and shrimp & grits were phenomenal!! Annie was our waitress and she did a fantastic job! Would highly recommend. We will be back for sure.“

“Everyone working here was lovely, and the place seemed very clean. Kids' meals have adult portions, and adult meals are appropriate for two people. It makes the higher price tag for casual food worth it. The food was delicious, and we all had extra to take home.“
“We came across this place while visiting from out of town. The restaurant is very unique in that it’s a former church complete with stained glass windows. The food was AMAZING as well as the service. Our waiter, Zachariah, gave us great recommendations and lots of info on the building itself. We ordered 4 courses and worried the appetizer and soup would come out together but every course was perfectly spaced. Our glasses were never empty and we loved that when the appetizer (saganaki) was brought out they let it on fire. Can’t remember the name of the soup but it was delicious. Then the entrees arrived. Just WOW! We had the rib-eye and the spinach chicken. The ribeye just melted in your mouth and the chicken was equally tender with an amazing cream sauce! It was hard to tell which was best. Finished off with galatoboureko for dessert which was just perfect. We also loved that the owner was right there helping out the staff getting drinks and checking in reservations. I’m telling you - if you’re ever in or near Bowling Green, make time to have dinner here. You won’t be sorry!!“
