We came from out of state to visit the Mammoth Caves and stopped in for a quick treat. Such a cute place!! Chatted with the owners husband and was quite impressed by their story. Everything is homemade and purchased from local vendors only. Highly recommend supporting this company and the ice cream is delicious!

This lovely ice cream store sits in a beautiful historic building in downtown Bowling Green, Ky. As unique as the building is, the ice cream is equally astounding. Each flavor is carefully made with a unique flavor from many local products. The storefront makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. It is a nostalgic asset to the city and should be preserved. Susan Warrell, the owner, is dedicated to creating a wonderful environment and ice cream for all to enjoy.

We come here once a week... even in the dead of winter! That's how good the ice cream is. The flavors change every week so you're always able to find something new if you're adventurous. I also love how they've honored the historic building and how it ties into downtown Bowling Green. Come once and give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

My Wife and I visited this fantastic ice-creamery about a year ago on vacation and we are now planning on moving into the area this year. It should tell you how much I look forward to visiting this place again when I thought about how awesome it would be if I bought a house within walking distance! Can't wait to be a regular here; loved the variety and uniqueness of the selections, the staff were friendly and fun, the atmosphere of the historic building was amazing! Really looking forward to visiting again soon!

Meltdown is such a sweet and fun little place. We visited here for the first time with family from out of town. We were looking for someplace different where none of us had ever been. Google maps showed us this place and we all agreed it looked interesting. The people behind the counter were very inviting. They offered to give us samples of any flavor we wanted (of which i tried 2). Since i couldn't pick just one, I got a single scoop split between both Cookies and Cream and Chocolate Covered Banana ice creams (which they gladly offered to do). My partner got a sugar cone with a single scoop (which was actually 2 scoops high) of the Spiced Cider Sorbet. Our guests shared a double scoop of Fro Ho Co (frozen hot chocolate) in a bowl covered in chocolate sauce and peppermint bark. In addition to the ice cream, we got a Dark Cherry hand crafted soda. The ice cream and soda were amazing! We ate in the park across the street and talked the entire time about how much we enjoyed the entire experience. And the cherry on top (pun intended?) the spoon changed color with the cold. It gave us such joy!

Best ice cream in Bowling green hands down! Have been getting Ice-cream whenever possible from Susan for quite a while, and the environment of the shop is super attractive and welcoming. Maybe a little biased since I work there, but all the staff are super friendly, and the place is super clean and family friendly!Vegetarian options: VERY rare to see any flavors containing meat or gelatin, with few exceptions like maple bacon or a candy infused ice cream! Perfect for vegetarians, and the sorbets are perfect for vegans!Kid-friendliness: Kid size servings, games to play in back of store, and they offer stickers to kids!Wheelchair accessibility: Single story business with a door that can open with assistance to be wide enough to fit any wheel chair. Counters are low enough for people to reach their order without standing, and restroom is spacious to allow room for a wheelchair.

What do I recommend about Meltdown? Everything! Delicious product, friendly employees, and they did a beautiful job renovating the building. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out. Go. Swiftly. Like the wind.

Saturday night around 10:00pm. Out of a lot of Bakery items, limited selections of ice cream. No waffle cones. Every one was nice and friendly. Our first visit
