This place is everything you want it to be - convenient downtown location; excellent customer service; reasonable prices; and most important DELICIOUS menu selections!

Came in here yesterday for lunch. Our server name justice was awesome. Family run and operated. She was very thorough, Explained the menu to every little detail. Her stepfather brought out our dishes. He was very pleasant, both of them had a great sense of humor. I would come back just for that, LOL. The business establishment was very clean ever, enjoy the southern look atmosphere. Must order the catfish and the white fish. Both were delicious in the desert is to die for. We wanted to try everything on the menu. We love Kentucky, keep up the good work guys

Excellent home cooked food. Loved the pulled pork, green beans, collard greens, catfish and coleslaw. The best in town!

Fast, friendly service. We tried the fried mushrooms with horseradish as an appetizer. Husband had Chicken fried steak with brown gravy, corn (seasoned perfectly), and mashed potatoes. I had the corn cakes with pulled pork, Mac n cheese, and the sweet pepper slaw. Good sized portions! Took half home for later. Got the pineapple upside-down cake to go. Everything was delicious and what needed to be hot, was hot! Nice atmosphere. Owner came by to check on us, too. Highly recommend and will return soon!

I would NOT recommend for a large group of people. We came here for a retirement lunch and had a good 30+ people in our party. We waited over an hour and a half for all of us to receive our food which resulted in some people leaving and us not being able to eat together. I’m sort of confused as to why they weren’t prepared for us because they knew we were coming.

I got takeout from S&D (catfish, fried okra, Mac n cheese and fried mushrooms). Everything is so good! The fried mushrooms are incredible and the horseradish sauce they came with is great, too! Will definitely be going back to eat in and try some of the drink specials they have for Happy Hour.

The food here is so so delicious!! I just stumbled upon this establishment and had lots of questions because of my dietary restrictions. Even though the young lady was the only server she graciously went and asked the kitchen for me. I had the catfish and the pulled pork. Outstanding! I'm going back tonight! Great food and great service, thank you.

Best homemade southern cooking. The staff is local & very nice which is a plus. My fiancé & I come here very often and the owner always comes out an speak to us. But he’s food speaks for itself. You won’t regret it.

Located across the street from Thai Thai restaurant on Chestnut St, this place is a hidden treasure. Friends and I went there for the first time last week but it certainly won't be the last. The restaurant is very clean and has a feeling of home. The food is amazing! You can tell it isn't cooked in large batches. I ordered The Dump, (picture attached), which you will have to ask for because you won't find it on the menu. OMG! It was one of the best things I've put in my mouth in a very long time! I finished every bite and was tempted to lick my plate. ? The corncakes are to die for!!! The Dump might look like a, well, dump, but don't let that deter you. It's sublime! I ordered pineapple upside down cake for dessert. It was a little too sweet for my taste but good. The restaurant is in a house, and we drove past it the first time. The sign isn't real obvious, and parking is in the back. If you miss it, turn around, and go back. It very quickly became my favorite place to eat! Remember, when you see Thai Thai, look across the street. If you appreciate good home cooking, you're gonna' love it, I promise!!!

Wow. I was staying nearby S & D for a work conference and happened to come across this gem. The food is fantastic. Catfish was perfect and the beans were delicious. My server was extremely pleasant and friendly to top it all off. Will hopefully return if I'm in the area.

Stopped in to S&D greeted well by the team. Had a choice of seating and order the Catfish, baked beans and Mac & Cheese. Food came out hot and it was good. Met the owner Sherry (Thank you for your Service) And she was awesome! I will be back the next time I'm Bowling Green. Great place and atmosphere.
