This restaurant can get really loud in the dining room. When were sat, it was so deafening that I decided to get up to leave. Fortunately, there was an available table in the quiet area near the bar. The drinks were passable. The food portions were huge and satisfying, but not memorable. They cook with heavy ingredients and plenty of butter. I felt distended after only eating half the food on my plate.

A few weeks ago my wife and I dined here and had never eaten at the Bistro before. We were greeted at our table with the most kind and professional waitress, her name was Annie. My wife was undecided about the menu and Annie was very helpful and patient with the menu. The service, atmosphere and food was outstanding.

The staff was it extremely friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, the burger was cooked to perfection at medium rare and the fries were delicious I wish they had been more crispy but because it was take out and not dine in could be the reason.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp in front adjacent to the stairs.

The Bistro is a well-known gem to locals. The food just seems to get better and better.I always make sure to have a reservation, but you are able to walk-in. I just prefer to secure our table ahead of time. The menu has a wide price range, and I love that you can dress casual or fancy and still feel comfortable. Keep in mind that the menu is seasonal and changes regularly. This is one of the best restaurants for a proffessional dinner as far as atmosphere and variety of foods.

Brunch options are a plenty in Bowling Green, and when you want something complex and flavorful, the Bistro has you covered.Definitely recommend reserving a table beforehand, as even a Sunday brunch time fills up quickly. The restaurant itself is in a lovely refurbished house from 1893, the atmosphere is comfortable and a bit upscale. And I mean upscale in the best of ways. Approachable, regardless if you’re in your Sunday best, or like me, jeans and flannel. We had the fried chicken, short rib hash and some French toast. The French toast is a changing chef’s choice, and today was a real treat with perfectly cooked blueberry lemon French toast with whipped cream. The short rib hash was delicious and rich, and the fried chicken had a surprising (and enjoyable) sweetness. The Bistro is a wonderful spot to enjoy some high quality food and relax before the work week begins.

Wonderful place for dinner in an intimate setting. Local artistry adorn the walls, and tables actually have distance between them. The menu changes every few months, which is a nice change and a way to try something different. Wait staff is super friendly and helpful, even if it is busy. Food is just incredible. Make a reservation.

Will never go back here. Came here for my birthday with a friend and the waitress (black eyeliner and blondish ponytail) who served us added more than the tip I gave her on her own! I tipped her 10% and she edits the tip to 15%. That is dishonest and fraudulent behavior. I could have went up there and demanded an explanation, but I would never give these people my time of day again. She is VERY lucky I didn’t get police involved … please fix this before this entire place gets shut down.

We had the Beef Stroganoff and the Short Rib hash....both were great! Very flavorful! Portions were great! We did sit in the bar area and with all the windows it was a bit chilly but other than that, it was fantastic!

The Bistro is one of the best restaurants in Bowling Green. Our dinner was good but not great as was the case with our two previous visits. There was an error in my dish where they actually forgot to add the short rib in the short rib dish lol. The response was professional and handled properly. Service was good but the metal in the face of the server was not appealing. Not something I would allow as a restaurant owner. Will return without hesitation and stick to the 5 Star menu items we've had previously - The Mediterranean Cod and the Chicken Parmesan. RECOMMENDED.

The Bistro is one of the best restaurants in Bowling Green without a doubt. This was our third visit which was not great as the last two visits but still good. Will return. There was an error with my dish where they forgot the short rib in a short rib dish. The mistake was handled professionally and properly. The service was good as usual but the metal in the face of the server was distracting and not something I would allow as a restaurant owner. My wife loved her pork chop dish however we would both return to our previous meal choices which were both excellent. The Mediterranean Cod and Chicken Parmesan. Easy to recommend the Bistro..!

The best shrimp and grits in the south. Anytime we are in the area we have to stop and have dinner or brunch.

Food and service were amazing! I found this place on Groupon, we are not from the area but traveling through. The crab beignets, filet (so tender) and shrimp & grits were phenomenal!! Annie was our waitress and she did a fantastic job! Would highly recommend. We will be back for sure.

The best restaurant in Bowling Green. Been going here on special occasions for over a decade and I've never been disappointed. The filet mignon is perfect. The salmon impeccable. Service is top notch. All in a cool atmosphere.
