We drove down from Webster to visit Cloverport. What a treat! Bert’s is a great breakfast or lunch spot. I had the Bert’s Burger on Texas toast with Swiss and grilled onions. This was some of the best beef I’ve had. Definitely worth the drive.

On one hand, the food was great. The Bert's Burger was better than I imagined, and from the mozzarella sticks to the onion rings, there was no slackin on the sides. That being said, the service was wildly slow. Maybe half the tables were full and it was a half an hour before my table for two was served, with very large lapses where the waitress was absent. We went back a few days later and the service was the same.Overall, this is a standard diner/bar style experience that has better sides and appetizers than you might expect, but with a very significant wait time.

Called in advance to inquire about seafood buffet on Fridays. Items on seafood buffet were supposed to be clams, fish, oysters, frog legs and shrimp. Was told buffet was open from 4pm to 8 pm. Arrived at 6pm. Only things on buffet seafood wise was a few broken pieces of fish and dried up clams. Items were never restocked. The waitress took drink order but never returned to the table with drinks or silverware. Had to get silverware from the kitchen myself and drinks at the bar. Paid $50 for 2 people for a salad and 2 pieces of fish. Awful service pitiful seafood buffet. Won't go back. A waste of money.

Finally tried their pizza and it was good. Have enjoyed every other meal we have ever eaten here. Service was slow but we were in no rush so didnt mind. Prices are very reasonable.

Nothing but compliments to this establishment, we had the daily specials, roast beef Manhattan and I had the meatloaf with slaw and cabbage. All of our food was outstanding and it was really mid afternoon when we dropped in. A neat lil town beside the Ohio River. A very enjoyable outing and when I'm back close we will definitely drop in. The service was impeccable and everything was clean with a nice atmosphere.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to enter inside.

Cute little restaurant that makes for a perfect stop whether you're headed out with friends or family for the night and want to catch some live music and have a few drinks or just traveling through and want to grab a quick lunch. The salad bar is probably the best I've seen since Golden Corral or Ryan's was found in every town. The plate lunches are always really good. Today I had smoked pork, green beans and Cole slaw. My meal was better than any of momma's home cooked meals! And FYI she's an amazing cook! And the prices are guaranteed to beat the big city restaurants.
