Barleycorns's has really gone down hill over the past few years. Not exactly sure what's happened. It was always overpriced, but the food was enjoyable and seemed to be somewhat fresh. Not anymore. Took the family and their friends here tonight. I ordered the Wildcat expecting a chicken breast with fresh toppings and sauces. Not quite. It literally looked like something from a concession stand. I can't imagine what I ate was anything different than the frozen breaded chicken breasts used at in a school lunchroom or concession stand. I mean it. Very disappointing. The potato skins appetizers were overcooked to the point of charred and the "bacon" on top looked like "Bac-O Bits". The chicken fingers that were ordered again looked worse than what you'd find at a stadium concession stand. Costco has better frozen chicken strips. It's a shame that it has degraded so much. I used to frequent Barleycorn's quite often, but think this will be the last. I even worked at Barleycorn's on the river back in Highschool. Was always wildly crowded and popular. Our server was new but very sweet and accommodating. I cannot complain about her. She took very good care of us. The ambiance is nice and beer selection decent. Ownership needs to get it together. I don't know what has changed recently, but something definitely has. Do NOT come here for the food. It is simply not good. The menu may read the same, but the ingredients and quality of the food is not.

Natalie was a very good server. She was attentive, patient and worked hard to satisfy Food however was slow and mixed reviews from the 6 of us. We started with fried pickles which were great. Much more crisp than most places but that made them perfect for sauce dippingMy chowder was cold, but the flavor was good, though lumpyTwo people had backed potatoes. Both were cold when they came...butter would not melt. Chicken wings for two people were great. Hot, juicy and very tasty! A berry salad was extremely large and very good. Dressing was perfect. So, 1/2 the food was excellent and very enjoyed, 1/2 was not really worth having. Go and ask for Natalie and get a salad with a side of wings and I think you'll be quite happy. Stay away from the rest

I really am not sure where to start. We ordered 2 burgers, neither of which were regular bacon burgers. We received 2 bacon burgers. I asked about it, our burgers disappeared for about 10 minutes, then our server brought out the same burgers with the sauces on that were supposed to be on our burgers on the side. Since it was the original burgers, they were cold. We finally flagged down a manager. She asked what she could do, I asked for our food to go. She bought us two meals to go. THEN our server came to show us the desert plate. We asked for our food to go, our dessert was brought to eat in the restaurant. When the manager came to ask if she could do anything, she also asked if she could get me another drink... which I assumed with the service would be on the house... it was not, neither was the dessert. Honestly it was really disappointing and it was my boyfriends birthday so I don't see myself coming back.

It was fine. Basketball court not open for the kids, boneless wings are terrible and pretzel and chip app you get about no cheese for it. Used to be so good and now not so fun. Disappointing it changed so much with new ownership. Save your money fast food boneless wings are much better. Even the expensive games for kids to play aren’t fun. Cheap all the way around. Go elsewhere.

This place is way overpriced compared to their competition. Like 50% more. Don't come here if you just want to drink and eat a few wings. They are very proud of their beer and wings here. And the service is much friendlier at their competitors as well. The atmosphere is good here. At least they have that going for them. But not worth the extra cost especially in todays economy.

We have had a lovely experience with this location. In between baseball games, we brought the team for lunch. Chris (manager) and staff were very accommodating, kind, and efficient for this large group! We have had the best service, food, and atmosphere! It's not easy working a Sunday open shift on Father's Day, and we appreciate the excellent service we received. Highly recommend this location! Thank you!

I've been twice recently with two totally different experiencesfood is decent. loved the hot ham and cheese sandwich. lots of choices for sides and the ones I tried were good. chili is good too. love that it comes with oyster crackers because I'm a s***** for them. cheeseburger was okay but the roll is so thin it couldn't hold up to the meat and fillingsservice was inconsistent. at the table, the waitress was fantastic. super friendly, brought drink refills without having to ask, helpful with the menu. but at the bar, a totally different story. inattentive, overfilled the beer glass and slammed it down on the bar so there was beer everywhere. no offer to wipe off the glass or the beer all over the bar. is it because I'm not a regular? I am visiting from out of town and staying close by. if I come back, I definitely won't be sitting at the bar

Not half an hour after opening & this place was WILDLY busy. On a weekday. In mid April.I had been to one other location, which apparently doubles as a "Bills Backers of NKY" hotspot, at least during football season, so I thought I'd give this one a try, because #Buffalove. I put in my order online only to find a quoted minimum wait time of an hour. I also found that you cannot request an order not include an item, so if there's some lunacy that inspires the inclusion of pickles on a chicken sandwich or something like that, you can't say "no pickle." That needs some attention.Other than that, the place is nice. I ordered takeaway, which you pick up at the bar, & once I found parking & my wait time of an hour was up, I was on my way pretty quickly. I went with their classic burger with provolone cheese on a pretzel roll & a side of mac & cheese.I'd come back, for sure.

We just went here Thursday prior to going to the Justin Moore concert and the food was good! I thought it could have been better but they do have a good atmosphere and it was packed do to everyone going to the concert! One thing that was excellent was our service!

Your neighborhood sports bar which always has a game on and is always busy! I haven't been to this location in 10+ years, and it hasn't changed much. The have sports memorabilia all over the place and tons of TV's to catch the big game. They even have a basketball hoop and games to entertain the kids while waiting for their meal! The menu is large and offers bar food, but a good mix of healthier options. I absolutely love the chili and sweet potato fries, which is always my go-to. My husband thought the wings were great and they have a large beer selection! The outdoor patio has grown and seems like an awesome place to hangout during the warmer months. The outdoor bar is large, there is tons of seating, and they have live music occasionally!
