I was in awe when I walked in this place. It gave sexy, swanky, posh. I felt like I was in New York City on a rooftop and not Covington. The ambiance got me!! everything about this place turned out great, from the drinks to the food. You have to try the roasted chicken. Amazing. The cauliflower was amazing. It was so impressed with this place I came here twice in one week! I cannot wait until the summer when the outside opens and you really can be put side on the rooftop, service was excellent. You have to try the smoked old fashion. The bartenders here know exactly what they are doing and watching them make the drinks is a experience itself

One word. Underwhelmed. Service is adequate. Food has zero seasoning. No taste at all. Salad was monochromatic in taste. Won't be back. Another restaurant trying to make it on its view.

Not only was the food was impeccable, but the bartenders Scott and Josh were great. They taught us about what wine pairs well with our food and elevated our experience. Thank you and we will be back!

Opal is a premium experience and has great views of the city. We went for cocktails and appetizers and sat at the bar. We met Scott, the bourbon professor, aka mixologist extraordinare. He is only there a few nights a week, but for sure Saturday. It was great to discuss bourbon and witness his passion for his profession. We ordered a few different cocktails, and all were delicious. Scott's Manhattan is superb. For food we ordered:1. Bread - this was delicious, and the paired butter and seasonal preserves were amazing. (7/5 ?)2. Charcuterie board - the board selections paired nicely and were perfect with the cocktails. Would recommend ordering. (5/5 ?)3. Pasta - this dish has a citrus forward element to cut the heaviness from the butter and bacon. It had a unique flavor profile, and we enjoyed it. (4/5 ?)4. Burger - our friend ordered and enjoyed it.I will definitely be returning and trying more cocktails and dishes.

Absolutely stunning experience! My wife and I went for Valentine's and couldn't have been more impressed. The flavor of all three courses was complex and intriguing. The steak melted in the mouth and was easily a top 5 steak I have ever had. The atmosphere was magnificent and intimate. Highly recommend for a date night and will absolutely be coming back to visit again soon.

Great concept but the food was sooo underwhelming. I should have known when they kept highlighting the stove, which wa smaned by a couple of young guns who double as kitchen aids. Here is the detial:Probably the worst octopus in town; a half tentacle that was about as dry as it gets. Server kept pushing the puree, which should have been a red flag. Even worse, they charge nearly $30 for ... don't mind paying it, but give me the value already. I was so excited about it going in?‍?Baja shrimp was even worse. Go buy the $5 Kroger special instead. Frozen shrimp in a flavorless sauce.Flat iron steak about as flavorless as it gets!!! But, priced as though you were dining at Jack ruby'sDuck was good and so was the cauliflower.Overall, you are paying a super premium for so so food and decent service. Go somewhere else!

Went for dinner last night with my wife and another couple and was a great experience all around. All the food was wonderful as were the drinks. I particularly loved the 6th and Madison, the market salad and the duck. Service was top notch. One of the better restaurant experiences I've had in any city since Covid. Would highly recommend and will 100% be back.

Prachtige Hout-BBQ met een mooie selectie aan gerechten. Zeer vriendelijk personeel.

Good food, drinks, and skyline view.

one bathroom for women and men won't be enough. It was crowded tonight and the outside patio wasn't open. Also where is the staircase exit? Drinks were good.

A friend and I recently visited Opal and I was so incredibly impressed!! The lighting inside is very cool and you can tell tons of care and attention to detail went into the design of the space. I can't wait until it warms up and the patio areas open...the already fantastic views from inside are going to be even more spectacular from the actual rooftop. If you're going on a weekend before the patios open, I would definitely suggest making a reservation - the tables were all full and walk-ups were waiting. Our server did seem a bit new but she was so sweet and took great care of us. For dinner we split the toast appetizer which was absolutely delicious! My friend ordered the fish special and I ordered the duck! The duck was cooked medium rare to perfection and the flavors that accompanied in the cous cous and Brussels sprouts were divine! I can't wait to go back and eat my way through the rest of the menu.
