For a place that is clearly listed as a bar it has incredible food. It's a cool neighborhood bar that seems to have plenty of locals I went there with a few friends to try the food and I must say the Pork Schnitzel Sandwich and the Giant Pretzel with Beer Cheese were incredible. If you are looking for a fun hangout with a cool outdoor area and good food it's worth a visit. One note is the place is small so it can get pretty cramped in the small indoor space they have.
We stopped off in Covington for the night and chose this place for dinner. It was a great choice for food, ambiance (live music,, and friendly service and clientele. The beer on tap, pretzel, burgers, and schnitzel are all great choices.

Logan was the friendly bartender as well as our server! We drove from Indianapolis to go to an Easter Egg Hunt in Latonia and had planned on going to the Mellow Mushroom for Pizza afterwards, unfortunately they were closed. We went on Google and to our surprise found this quaint little German Pub, I called to make sure they were open, and not knowing the laws in Kentucky, making sure we could bring our 6 year old grand daughter with us! It was such a pleasure, Logan was very Knowledgeable over the Menu and had great recommendations! The Reuben was yummy, the Bavarian Pretzel with Beer Cheese was Absolutely Delicious ? ?! The Fried Green Tomatoes were Scrumptious and the Burgers, oh so yummy! A must stop, if you are in the area! ? ? ? ? ?

Food was incredibly good! Bartender was very nice and helpful. First time here, as we were passing through; however, if we were locals, we'd be regulars. Highly recommend this place! Cons: Limited seating. Parking can be difficult; be warned.

Great place! Sausages were excellent, and we really liked the bacon slaw and mashed potatoes. The HUGE (big enough for 4 to 6 people as an appetizer) pretzel with beer cheese is also wonderful, and the beer list complemented the food perfectly.Dietary restrictions: Carnivore

I love divey bars that serve good food. This was my first visit to Wunderbar and it was everything I had hoped. There seemed to be a good number of regulars. It has that divey feel, but in a cool way. Our bartender was so nice and helpful. I was really happy with the sausages and the burger looked great. I have to go back to try it, but I just wanted a smaller lunch. I can't remember exactly which 2 sausages I got, but they were great, the sauerkraut was good, and even the brussels sprouts (which I normally don't like) were decent. My friend said they were excellent. I can't wait to go back and try a burger.
