“This is the best ramen house in the tri-state area. I have eaten at most of the Japanese restaurants that offer authentic Japanese-style ramen and this place has the best. I have traveled throughout Japan and Osaka Ramen House had the closest version to what I had in that country. The appetizers and other meals are so tasty and what you would find in Japan.“

“Went with my family today and was very excited to try it. They were extremely busy and every table was full but the one and only server was amazing and was running around above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience (she also enlisted the help of the cat eared robot to bring the food to the table, which my little brother was so excited about and was an awesome touch). We all enjoyed the create your own ramen, which was the best I have ever had. My mother is newly gluten free due to stomach allergies. When the kitchen found this out, they explained that a lot of the seasonings which contained soy may upset her stomach, they came up with the idea to use rice in the soup instead of noodles, the chef also brought my mothers soup out deconstructed with a seasoning blend he had put together just for her so she could still enjoy the flavors while carefully helping her avoid her new allergy, he was so sweet and patient and understanding. It was amazing and really showed a passion not only for food from the staff but for their patrons experience. Will definitely be going back and you shouldn’t miss the opportunity.“

“This is the first time I've gone into this place, but I've ordered takeout several times. It's in an 1840 building, so this is one of the most unique sushi places you'll ever eat at. I came in on a Saturday night with a party of five and was told by the host it was going to be a 25-30 minute wait, which we were prepared for. Then he came back in a few minutes and said "just give me five minutes" and we were very quickly seated. Our server was very knowledgeable and patient with my kids and the food was stellar. Between us, we got tempura, sushi rolls, tofu, ramen, fried rice and lo mein, all of which was amazing. The 859 roll might be the best sushi roll I've ever had anywhere. We will definitely come back.Parking: There is limited parking around this restaurant. There is a church that shares it's parking lot with Zozo and Tousey House and there is some public parking by the courthouse. Both require a walk to get to the restaurant.“

“Food & atmosphere were great, very cozy vibe. Good portion size and you could tell the noodles were fresh. The service was slow ( but to be fair there only seemed to be 1 server for the entire restaurant) also tried the drink with gin in it and just know it has a very botanical flavor to it.“

“I'm traveling for work and it is always great to find a gem like this place. I love ramen. I've even tried my hand at making it myself. Way to time intensive for me so finding places like Maki Express makes it so much more worthwhile to just go and sit down and have a bowl. The place is tiny with about 4 tables, but very clean and presentable. The service is just right, but maybe they shouldn't allow there employee to sleep at one of the tables. Other than that, great. Now for the food. I ordered the gyoza fried and it didn't disappoint. The filling could of been a little less sinewy, but the flavor was spot on. I also ordered the Tonkatsu ramen with a soft boiled egg and pork chatsu and it was delicious! The right amount of spice. The pork belly chatsu was perfectly succulent and flavorful, noodles perfectly cooked and the broth was soooooo good. Cannot recommend this place enough. AWESOME!“

“Tried this place for the first time yesterday with my husband after an event downtown & we were both glad we did. It's located on the second level of the Kroger building. The service was great - the guy who took our order & made our food was friendly & the security team who was walking around also seemed very friendly. We split everything that we ordered, so I got to try a variety of things. We ordered two of the Boo Yah! Bao Buns - one Pork Belly (braised pork belly with slivered green onion, cucumber with spicy hoisin sauce) and one Lemongrass Chicken (chicken with arugula, sprouts, crispy onions with cilantro Maggi mayo). These are a bargain at $4 a piece bc let me tell you about the flavor they pack! Wow. The buns are so, so soft & everything inside is loaded with sauce & spice & deliciousness. I will admit the pork belly was my favorite by far, but the chicken was something fresh & different. Next as the Slammin' Banh Mi, we ordered the Pork Belly (pork belly with pickled daikon, pickled carrot, cucumber, cilantro and jalapeno with sriracha aioli). This sandwich was $7 & worth every penny. I loved the cilantro & cucumber & pickled elements - it all worked so well together. Finally, we had the Dope! Dumplings with Pork (ground pork, napa, and green onions). They had a variety of dipping sauces, we chose Sriracha Garlic Aoili. We got five dumplings for $7 & would order them again & again. We brought most of these home & reheated them in the air fryer & they were still fabulous the next day. We will definitely be back for some carry out!“
