We love the food here and really enjoy coming here! But the past two times, we have been turned away due to the kitchen closing prior to the stated hours on Google. The first time, it was a few minutes before 10 pm, and the hostess told us the kitchen was closing in 5min. It was annoying since the Google hours say they close at 11pm but understandable. Today, we showed up at 930pm, and one of the hostesses told us the kitchen closed in 5min. We questioned the hours, and the other hostess told us the kitchen closes at 10pm. We informed them it was 930pm, and the first hostess awkwardly said they will close in 5 minutes, so we left. I understand the kitchen closing earlier than the restaurant, but it's frustrating that the kitchen hours can't be listed on Google, and even most frustrating that the hostesses seemed like they just didn't want to serve us. It makes me not want to come back, even though we really enjoy The Pub

I was visiting my daughter in Florence and she said the pub was a good place to eat so we gave it a try. There was a bit of a wait but it wasn't that long. We ordered several appetizers and they were all delicious. The spinach dip was really cheesy and delicious but my favorite was the pretzel sticks. It came with beer cheese that was too sweet for my taste but I enjoyed eating them with mustard. Everyone ordered something different and they all enjoyed what they got. I am a grilled cheese fanatic so I ordered a grilled cheese with just American cheese with fries. Their fries are awesome, thick cut and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They are delicious both with ketchup and without. We also enjoy them with mayonnaise. Don't knock it till you try it! The grilled cheese was awesome, made on thick cut white bread with lots of cheese and golden brown, just the way I like it! The atmosphere is awesome with a lot of English knick knacks and wall hangings. It was really enjoyable. I definitely recommend eating here.
All great! Only downside was the slightly ridiculous price of the scotch egg appetizer. One egg cut into tiny pieces for $12 as a shared appetizer.

The Pub is one of our very favourite places. My wife gets the fish and assures me their claim of the best fish and chips in the US is quite reasonable. I love Mum’s pot roast. Everything on the menu is good.
