We stopped in for dinner with a party of nine, which I feel is reasonable for a hibachi restaurant. After 15 minutes of waiting at the front door to be seated, we then sat for another 30 minutes before we were brought drinks. It was an eight top hibachi joint. Four of the tables were full and we sat for THIRTY MINUTES before we were even approached. After 45 minutes we ordered and had drinks.Once our cook arrived, they had the order wrong. He then (loudly) called our waitress back over and they proceeded to argue about it. She went back to the kitchen only to come back out and tell me, almost an hour after I had ordered them, that they were out of scallops. It should be noted that she went on to take an order for scallops 15 minutes later from another table. I told them they were out a few minutes before the cook did.The food was just OK. They put diced potatoes in their veggies which was...odd. The food was cooked well and was good. I think that had the intro not been as awful as it was, this might have even been a four star rating. Had the food been bad, it would have been a one star. But seriously....diced potatoes in hibachi veggies? Weird.Oh, and isn't cheap. Like, high... even for hibachi.

Food is absolutely amazing! Staff are friendly and helpful as they catch a minute. Seemed understaffed but tried to the best of their abilities to mask it. Would def recommend for anyone, but just make sure you have the time and patience to enjoy this kind of hidden gem. Well worth it!Kid-friendliness: Try very hard to make it fun for kids, it just takes a while to do the hibachi grill.

The food was wildly underwhelming. They put potatoes in the habachi. Then add a sweet noodle. Maybe this is a regional preference, i did not like it. The service was ok. Not poor, but not great.

This place has had a bad reputation in the past but we have been here 3 times since the re opening and have not been disappointed. The only down side has been some times service has been slow but that's more of a staffing issue than anything else. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. We have sat at a table once and hibachi twice. All three times the food was great. The hibachi this last time was less of a show and more cooking, for some that isn't necessarily a bad thing I understand. The sushi has always been good when I have gotten it here. Overall I do recommend this place.

This place needs new cooks. I was wonder wondering why it was so dead at peak hours and then I bit into the driest piece of chicken in my life.

I wish I could call this middling Japanese food, but it's worse than that. It started with taking us five minutes to get seated, because the host section wasn't visible from the rest of the restaurant. I had to flag someone down. That's a complaint, but merely a middling one. What was especially bad was the food. We're pescatarian and so figured sushi was a safe choice, which is why we chose the restaurant. Nigiri was around $6 for a single piece. Normally two pieces are $8 on the higher end, so it was a very high price. They also didn't have a sushi dinner option, so a plate of sushi wasn't an option. Not much else was vegetarian/pescatarian friendly, so we got the ramen. The ramen was the least flavorful ramen I've ever had, the bagged, dry noodle style included. The noodles were likely dry noodles, there were no vegetables, mushrooms, or anything but noodles and broth and an overcooked egg. It was bad. I also ordered some salmon nigiri, despite the cost, and it was mediocre quality at best.I didn't have any of the hibachi options, but if what I did try is indicative, I don't think anyone with a reasonable experience with Japanese food could enjoy this restaurant. The service was fine, but I can't recommend anything else.
