“Good stuff, good service. Never a terrible wait......the staff is pretty efficient. I can see why they have been there forever and a day.Parking: Limited number of spaces and not the greatest of neighborhoods. Not sure about handicap parking, even though the shop and lot are handicap accessible.Kid-friendliness: It's an ice cream shop. If that isn't kid friendly I don't know what is.Wheelchair accessibility: It's all at ground level. There isn't a step or even an incline to traverse. So should be handicap friendly. Not sure about handicap parking though.“
“Absolutely fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. Modern diner vibe with mouthwatering burgers, delicious boozy milkshakes, and the best, most tender, juciest fried chicken I've ever had.Parking: You can usually find street parking nearby“
“Glad my brother showed me this secret hole in the wall Cheese Coneys stop shop definitely be backParking: It's a small location obviously the parking lot going to be small. Don't let that deter you if you do you'd be missing out!!“
“Was sooo hungry and delicious that I ate it before I could take a pic. The burger is amazing with tots!Parking: When you turn into the lot before the restaurant if you go all the way to the left, there are signed parking spots for the restaurant that is FREE“
“The San Francisco dog is vegan and so good. You wouldn't think hummus and guac would be good but it is. The tots are even great. Oniony and flavorful. Service is great. The place is a hole in the wall in the middle of houses. Off the beaten path of mainstrasse. Not too far though. Just a couple blocks. I bet it is a popular local spot.“
“I discovered this GEM on Opening Day 2024. Absolutely amazing food. Was driving people around town in a GEST Cart and stopped and got a brat. So good, an hour later went back for a mett. Was telling all my riders as we passed by to try this joint out. Top notch and well done. Thank you.Side note. Download the Gest Cart app and request a ride to grab this amazing food. We will pick you up and drop you back off.“
“My family was visiting Newport Aquarium and after we left we found Mad Mike’s to eat. We ordered 2 of the Big Tex burgers and chicken tenders. These were the best burgers we have ever had and my son loved the chicken tenders. The service was great and the employee we encountered was amazing.“
“I know there a lot of diehard fans of Skyline Chili, so I visited more out of curiosity than anything! Let's try this famous chili that folks are always raving about! To be honest, I'm not sure that I totally get it, but it was good (not amazing?) and I'm glad I tried it. I feel like satisfying my curiosity was enough for me though, and I would probably opt for other options over Skyline in future visits to Cincinnati. I stopped into this location at kind of a weird time in the middle of the afternoon, after any lunch crowd and before a reasonable dinner time. As such, it was pretty much empty and I had my choice of seating. I got the vibe that this is likely a location frequented by people who work in the area. I got the famous/signature 4-way, spaghetti covered with chili, diced onions, and a mound of shredded cheese. I also tried a chili cheese coney sandwich. I wasn't sure if this was the right amount to order or not, since prices seemed too low for a meal. However, this was definitely the right amount for me. It didn't look super big but it's very filling. I also got hot sauce to drizzle on top which I really liked! I'm not sure my stomach was too happy about the whole meal though, haha. I happily finished the whole thing.“
“One of the best home made chili dogs and lemonade I’ve had in awhile! Stopped at this food truck on our way to our car after the FC game!! The owners were so nice and their homemade chili dog and lemonade was delicious! If you see their food truck make sure to stop and check out their menu! You won’t be disappointed!“
“When in…You eat chili. Skyline might not be the OG but it is still iconic and accessible. No where you find yourself in the Queen City.Personally, noodles are my least favorite delivery method for chili to taste buds. But, icons existing for a reason. Even though the chili is a little sweet for my liking, the chili dogs are a wiener (see what I did there) and the service is great!Legends exist for a reason!“
“Went on st Patty's day. Dined it. Waitress got really busy so not we weren't attended to often after we got our food, good thing it's good Ole skyline and you don't need much more then the perfection I ordered. Also had a takeout cup so easily refilled before leaving. Loved the green spaghetti!!!Wheelchair accessibility: There's wheel chair access into restaurants and tables to be say at comfortably“
“Okay.. first time chili experience here!! And let me say I had no real expectations because I've heard mixed reviews (not about Dixie, just in general), but I have been wanting to try it since I moved to the area a few years ago. Consensus on the 3-way: tasty and would eat again! :) I enjoyed the flavor of the chili - a little sweet, and you can't go wrong with a pile of shredded cheddar cheese. The noodles were OK, I can understand why it might be a weird pairing with chili, but it just reminded me of pasta sauce! The oyster crackers added nothing for me. We also got a side of fries which were pretty good. Service was fine, interior was classic diner, and overall it was a good experience!“
“I really like skyline, gold Star is my favorite for coneys though, the funnel fries are to die for, they taste just like a funnel cake and it just depends on your taste, both chili's are great, they just have a slightly different tasteParking: Fairly large lot, I'd say about 20 spots in frontKid-friendliness: Kids menuWheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking right by the front doors“
“Stopped by here after the Bengals lost to the Texans, food was excellent, service was outstanding, & the restaurant was clean. Waitress was very nice & helpful, she was so gracious enough to sell my brother in law & I a full set of the Skyline Bengals cups, we really appreciated that. Will stop in here again when I'm up that way. Thanks Skyline staff.“
“I haven't been reviewing much but, I needed to do this one because I haven't. Went inside for a dinner and continue to a fair. Walk in. They tell us to sit down. Order a 3-way. Came out great. As well as chili cheese fries. Did pretty good on that too and ordered a Sprite. But, it concerns me that you can't eat outdoors if it is a nice sunny day or breeze is just right. But overall great staff and service. Partial clean. Food is always hot and doesn't cool down for a while. Don't really disappoint me. Recommend to try this place if you can! It's great for kids, but never seen anyone outdoors. Overall 4/5 and looking forward to seeing more!“
“This is the paradigm of Skyline chili locations. The best, most real example of the true Skyline experience. There are no computerized overhead displays here. I walked in, and they were completely full, Sunday around noon. The after church crowd. It was always a tradition in my family to go to Skyline - this Skyline - after church. But I was on my own, so I wanted a carry out order. Within 30 seconds my order was taken, and called out verbally to the food team. The customer says "Regular Three Way" which means spaghetti with chili on it, and a mound of shredded colby cheese. The person at the counter simply calls out "One Chili Spagett!" I paid for my order, and two minutes later I was walking out with my food. Settled on a comfortable corner of the Clifton Gaslight district at the corner of Clifton Avenue and Ludlow Avenue, this traditional, old school, Skyline location is a great place to eat in or carry out. It is across the street from a corner of Burnet Woods Park, where a fountain sculpture has been placed. There is an old fashioned Fire House on another corner, and a florist on the other. Welcome to the red brick Clifton Skyline on Ludlow!Vegetarian options: You get the "rice and beans" chili mixture instead of the traditional chili. It's good. You don't get to have a cheese coney. You could have rice and beans on a coney bun with cheese. I would get a regular three way, four way or five way (four and five add onions and beans) but specify "rice and beans" instead of chili. It has a similar flavor due to the spices.Parking: The parking lot is across a small street just north of the Skyline Building to the right off of Clifton Avenue.“
“100% recommend! The I've been several times in the past to where I would highly recommend coming here. If you're looking for good food, great variety of brews, and fun atmosphere to hang with friends or family, this is your place! I'm a huge fan of their buffalo wings, loaded chips, and burgers! I was fortunate enough to be the first customer to have a pepperoni pizza off their new stove! It's good and can't wait to see what other kinds of variations happen with the new set up. The service was fantastic and workers were super accommodating. Look forward to when I go again!“
“One of the better Skyline restaurants that I have been to. The service is speedy and the staff is friendly and willing to go the extra mile for customer service. The only drawback is that they have their drive thru on loudspeaker in the restaurant itself allowing diners to hear each and every automobile patron and their order.“
“Needed a quick bite to eat while I was in the area. Super fast service, very nice staff, and a very clean restaurant. My cheese coney was so hot I had to let it cool off (not a bad thing)! I always expect the best from Skyline, and this location did not disappoint.“
“Legit some of the best coneys I’ve had. They are good! Also they love sublime and are really nice! Love this place! Will be back again! Super nice people! Remember to swHOOSH on down there and get some coneys! Super convenient parking right infront of the restaurant!“
“Went here when were were in town and I was unsurprised. I heard reviews saying that the food was amazing and it is a Cincinnati staple. So I had to see I had to see for myself. I went with me and my family and I had an idea what to expect. Since it was my first time, the lady serving our table helped greatly on what to order. She recommended the Chilitos, and I ordered 2 of them, and I also ordered chili fries later on. The food came out quick (so did our drinks) and the food was amazing. I see why they keep their chili recipe secret, it was amazing! Can't have anyone running around with this recipe. The Chilito itself was really good, but my only complaint was probably the portion size; but that's a corporate issue and not a restaurant one. The chili fries were hot and crispy and the chili with it made it even better. Overall It had a very nice environment and I would recommend to others.“
“This is one of the most unique and delicious chili's I've ever had. It has a sweeter taste than other chili's, but it truly does work. Prices are reasonable and they have table service if you sit in. They also have a drive thru.“
“The staff is very customer service oriented and friendly. The food is fresh and cooked to order with free toppings.High Quality food with fresh quality toppings..Very clean sitting area as the food preparation area.Love being able to watch the preparation of the food.Thank you“
“Pretty busy place. Probably waited the longest we have ever wait for a hot dog and cheese. Then it wasn’t even the right order. Not sure how that all got mixed up.Not the norm experience that I have had at Skyline so may have just been an off night.“
“First time here. It was a very pleasant experience. We had a very conscientious waitress who helped us make our choices. We both thought our food was very good. I ordered deluxe chili with the mountain of cheese on the side, and hubby ordered the chili with spaghetti noodles. 3 way chili.“
“For those that know, Skyline chili has a little more kick than Gold Star (GS is a little sweeter). Had a few coneys, very good and they never skimp on the cheese. Got a side of fries and a side of chili too. All was great. Service was also very good.“
“One of my favorite skylines around. They are always open for indoor dining, so you can enjoy a nice hot meal no matter how cold it is outside. Cannot say the same about the gold star next door, who still wants to live in the year 2020 and have everything drive through only. Thank you Skyline for being open when others aren't!!“
“Just a nice experience. Food is ALWAYS excellent. Felt sorry for the staff having to deal with unbelievable KIDS MESS!I raised 4. That would have been the last trip out to eat, had they EVER left a mess like that. Total bs.Come now young parents. Teach your children.“
“I had never been to a Skyline Chili. I proudly declared to the manager who rushed over to convert me to the Cincinnati area famous chili. He explained the differences between skyline and other types of chili and some of the nuances of the chili like we were in some sort of quasi wine tasting. Personally I was 100% there for it. I ended up ordering 3 coney dogs, one with jalapeño cheese on it to go. It was late and I had to get back to my hotel, people were waiting on me, or else I would have stayed and enjoyed the quaint diner on the end of a strip mall that serves chili late at night…. The atmosphere was a clean place that oddly reminded me of the 90’s but was well taken care of. As I returned to my hotel I ate all three coney dogs quickly. They. Were. Delicious. The jalapeño cheese was maybe not as spicy as I would have expected but they put hot sauce in the bag that was well used. Overall, I can see the appeal of the chili place, for a chili that doesn’t have beans in it.Food was great! Staff was extremely helpful! This skyline chili is open late!“
