The food was great.The service was great.The restaurant's a little bit aged, some of the chairs are mismatched and not the most comfortable. Has a pretty good atmosphere all in all. Overall the visit I would have given it like 4.5 Stars.The problem is billing.There's a sign on the door that says automatic gratuity added for larger parties which is fine and on par with the rest of the restaurant industry. The problem is I was a party of two and they added an 18% gratuity. It was on the first receipt, and after I paid there was another line for a tip. So if somebody isn't paying attention they'll throw another tip on. I almost didn't catch it and would have tipped a total of over 40%.That's very backhanded I do not like that at all.If it wasn't that way I would have left a 20 to 25% tip and I would have said unquestionably that I will be back.

The food was good except for my steak being overcooked. I asked for medium rare and definitely was more on the medium well/well done side, was hard to chew and for my first time eating here, I was kind of disappointed.

The food, and chef was great. The only issue was the Waitress. As soon as we walked in, we heard her go to the Manager and said she wasn't waiting on the couple that entered right before us. That they did not tip here or another waitress on the previous weekend, and she wasn't paying the chef to fix their food. Evidently the waitresses pay the chefs 8% of the total food bill.What really got me, the waitresses came to the Table and confronted the couple, which the couple stated that she was mistaken, that they did instead tip. But she said she had the tickets. She was very rude about the whole thing. I know my tip would not be on the ticket, since it was cash.I love the food, I do not like the last visit. It showed the restaurant's ugly side.

It's a good place. I do enjoy it and the kids love it. I wish however that they would have all the cooks doing pretty much the same act. It isn't a huge deal but some just cook with minimal entertainment. Still an excellent place though and the food is good.

I had the most strange katsudon here that had lots of vegetables that did not belong to this dish, paper thin meat buried in vegetables and rice.Tonkatsu that my wife had was also thinking and super dry as the result.Gyoza was ok though.

The food was good, and the person preparing the meal was entertaining.Im concerned that when I received my check there were several extra charges that did not seam correct. Over $10 in extra charges. When brought to the managers attention she was combative and not will to correct the situation. She just said the menu is wrong. This is illegal and I hope they correct it. If you do go here, please check your bill before leaving.

Food is excellent! However our server didn't introduce herself. On her return to table I told her I must have forgot her name. She replied," I didn't tell you my name. It's megan." I was a bit thrown back by that. I told her that I understood. Sometimes you don't feel it. She said she was up since 5AM. I just disengaged and enjoyed my meal. Here's the catch. After not feeling like a guest solely by the actions of our server. They included 18% tip. Of course you can treat people any way you want when they have to tip you what you say. I addressed issue with Mgr. But..... by the way I paid 18% AND gave chef his own tip. He rocked!! Not going back again

Exceptional service! The staff went above and beyond when a visually impaired couple was seated at my table. From the person who guided them to their seats to the chef, everyone took extra time and consideration to ensure their comfort and assist with their surroundings. One waitress, not even assigned to our table, consistently helped them with the menu, during the meal, and with the bill, going as far as reviewing charges and providing a to-go box. I complimented her, and she shared that her aunt is also blind, making her particularly attuned to the assistance needed. Kudos! Also, the food and overall service were outstanding :)

Cheif Johnny at the sushi bar was outstanding! Not only was my dish completely amazing, but sitting at the bar and watching him work was literally watching an artist do what they do best, make beautiful creations! I will definitely be going back!!!
