“I’ve been to mid city about 5 times, it was amazing the first time I went and every time I go it gets better. The staff are amazing people! They have nailed both food & service. When you eat here, they make every guest feel special. Just this week I went to a high end restaurant in Cincinnati and was treated like an inconvenience because I had an infant with me. Then I came to mid city and they were so accommodating of the baby. They knew who we were right when we walked in, they gave us a huge table with plenty of space, kept saying how glad they were we came, it was pouring rain outside so they gave us towels to wipe off, they helped us to our table, even helped carry the car seat. That’s how you run a restaurant. There’s a reason they have a 4.9 star rating on Google, it’s because I don’t think 5 star is possible.“

Tater tots are really good, and the kids' chicken and waffles were also excellent. We will be back for sure. I suggest you try this place out if you hadn't before. “This place is so much fun. We stopped here since we saw some igloos on the sidewalk and inquired inside. Unfortunately you need to book those in advance so we just grabbed a spot at the bar. The waitress was very helpful in explaining the menu and getting us our flight of drinks very quickly. We also ordered the loaded potato dip and it was delicious! Had to try the "chili" for chili week and it was a delicious bowl of ice cream with rice crispys. Overall 5/5 stars, when we are back in the Cincinnati area we will stop by.“
“When this first opened, I came here and the music was too loud and the women barristas weren't very friendly. But now I've started coming here as often as possible! I really like Katie, the barrista and the fact that it is not crowded at all in the early afternoon so I can sit and work. Music is now great. And they just started carrying my favorite cheese, Kerry Gold. I wish there wasn't a fan intermittently blowing cold air down on me, but I can live with that. The coffee (Urbana) is great. There are so many great burger combos to try, but you need to try either the GFat or the simple PBJ. Across their menu you'll find other sneaky good options like the tacos or the pear salad, but the burgers are the core of why you seek out Gordos. Service can be a little slow, especially when it gets busy, but you can often find this place to be fairly open unless it's a Xavier game day. Helpful to know: Park to the left side of the building in the odd looking lot. The right side of the building parking is owned by a different building/business. On nice days, see if you can sit in the back patio. It's a little oasis from the noisy of Norwoods main drag.“

The entire staff were incredibly personable and professional, and their attention to detail was always at the forefront of service. From the parking valet service, to room service, to bar service, we could not have been more pleased with our stay at the Lytle. It’s the little things like great water pressure and temperature in the shower, incredibly soft towels and robes, and billowy-soft pillows that really made The Lytle a favorite! The food was delicious, the atmosphere and ambiance were second to none, and the friendliness of the staff made The Lytle Hotel one of our all-time favorite stays. “This was one of the most interesting bars I’ve been to. It almost gave me like an oldies speakeasy vibe. They had a fireplace both inside and outside and the place felt very intimate and cozy. One of the workers pulled out the chair for me and also helped me get my coat on which felt very high in. Our waitress was very nice and made sure to come back quite a few times to check on us (I don’t personally like when waiters do this, as it makes me feel rushed, but I still wouldn’t change my rating). The live music was cool and they have speakers outside so you could hear if you sit out there. They don’t have prices on the menu which sort of stinks. I thought it would be very expensive because the prices were not shown but my drink (Milky Way) was only $9 ( I wish they would put the prices on the menu. My friend mentioned she would have gotten another if she knew it wasn’t too expensive). Wonderful atmosphere. My drink was also amazing; it was amaretto with hot coco.“

The bar is basically designed around the tree adding a level of uniqueness of the bar. You'll find casual seating at the bar, more intimate lounge type seating to the left, or venture out to the rooftop area where you'll find the famed football goal post on the roof. Plenty of space for large groups. I imagine this is a popular spot in the summer on the rooftop. Drinks were great and overall good price point. Would come back!“

“This place was very good. One of my favorite things was that for the kids they had a paper table cover they could draw on with crayons. The staff was very friendly and our server was very attentive. We got a cheese deep dish, a sausage deep dish, some pepperoni French bread pizza for my son and lasagna with garlic bread for my daughters friend. All of it was very good but the sausage deep dish was out of this world. We spent about $75 plus tip on it. The price is the only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars but it is worth it to go here every now and then.
