Recently ate at the Colonel's Kitchen for a family dinner, and it was outstanding. The menu is small, about 6 entrees and 2 specials. However, everything was delicious, and everyone found something they wanted. Chicken fried chicken, home made pasta with vegetables, Bavarian pork, shrimp etouffee were all fabulous. Total for 6 of us excluding tip was $115. The format is unusual, but adds to the experience. Seat yourself, order at the counter, then watch your dinner get made. All the meals are prepared in the kitchen open to the dining room.

Colonel's kitchen is located in the heart of Fort Thomas and it is a farm to table type of restaurant. We've been there countless times and the food is always good quality. Our favorite thing on the menu is definitely the cinnamon rolls they are so scrumptious!
Tried it tonight for the first time! Everything came out as asked and tasted delicious!

We stopped by on a Saturday morning for brunch. When you walk in you pick up a menu and go to the counter to order your food. You pay for your food and they bring it to you when its ready.You can see everything being made right in front of you and they have 3 tables outside. We ate outside as it was a beautiful day. The area is quite busy with families out walking as people passed by us throughout our brunch.I enjoyed their special the Kentucky Hot brown and my friend had the Western Omelette. The kitchen was busy with a variety of catering orders. I would return again to try lunch or early dinner.

So we went up for dinner on a lark since they started serving later. OMG. The food was exceptional. I had the steak and my wife had the pork. The food was extraordinary. Really well prepared and perfectly presented. This place is a gem. A real surprise. You need to try it. We sat outside and it was fun. Truly gourmet in fort Thomas. And our server Rachael was adorable. Her husband was the cook. Go figure. We loved it. A diamond in fort Thomas.
