This is NOT a fancy place. It is a place that serves good food for a good price with a smile. This is a great comfort food restaurant. If you walk out of this place without a smile I question whether you are human. Nice people: staff and patrons. Solid normal food. 50’s music. Not many tables. If you have a place like this in your town, you’re lucky! My wife lived there club salad…I think that was the name. She’s so tiny she had it for dinner several hours later. I tasted it. Yum!! I had the fried green tomato BLT. Really enjoyed it. Onion rings! If these were frozen they are the greatest frozen onion rings ever. VERY good. Frankfort has several great restaurants. Do not miss this one!!Kid-friendliness: Speaking of kids…we counted ten in our forty-five minute stop here. There’s a lot to see on the walls and plenty of kid-friendly meals. Plus, the staff really cares. They may come out in a stained T-shirt but that’s because they are working hard to serve you solid, good food!!!

We walked in and we were immediately greeted. They brought over the menus and flatware but didn't take the drink order right away. It took more than 5 minutes for someone to come take our order. She was very friendly. The food was good and tasted well but nothing unique or extraordinary. And the fried green tomatoes were yellow but hey tomatoe tomato. Lovely atmosphere and friendly server.

Came here for Breakfast on a Friday after waiting in line for the release at Buffalo Trace. Our waitress was so nice and very prompt with everything we needed. Prices were amazing and food was great. Would highly recommend!

Had a very nice lunch with my daughter-in-law today. I had their homemade chicken salad sandwich which was very good and it was served on a toasted croissant and I opted for the hand breaded honemade onion rings which were very good as well. She had a burger that was served between two grilled cheese sandwiches and she said it was very good as well. The service was great and the atmosphere was great and I love the vibe of the 60's diner and the music. If you are ever finding yourself going through Frankfort, KY stop and give Main Street Diner a try, you'll thank me later for it.
