I am originally from Princeton but have been in Lexington for quite a while. I was visiting family and asked my sister if we could try something different (to me). She suggested Coppertop. BBQ is a go to for me and my husband in Lexington but we both agreed that Coppertop was actually better than any of our go to spots in Lexington. We loved the BBQ sauce so much that we bought some from their store. Highly recommend.
Full disclosure, this is my cousin's place. But, numerous awards for the BBQ tell the story. Quaint setting, with porch, rocking chairs, Amish made furniture.We just stopped for homemade ice cream this time. Brown sugar-bourbon flavor this day. Yum!

Food is always great here. The only thing I don' t like is the racket the chairs make several times when they scoot across-the-floor. Food is great, and it's always clean.
