“The start of my first official day in Kentucky kicked off at Eastgate Family Restaurant. My friend who’s from here advised that Eastgate Family Restaurant has the best breakfast in the city. Based on what he said I had to go.As Eastgate Family Restaurant sits in a parking plaza there is ample parking. Upon walking it you are met with a sign to seat yourself. The restaurant is huge but has the feel of a small down home diner. The decor is very simple and dominated by gray tones.Once seated we were greeted by Lisa who was all smiles and midwest charm. The menu has an abundance of options but the breakfast section was calling my name. LoL!As I watched the servers bring out some other dishes I had to think long and hard about what I wanted. Being that my tastebuds we’re all over the place I decided to go A-La-Carte, don’t judge me.Food:Grits - The grits were plain. There was nothing special about them overall but they satisfied my desire for some grits. The serving size was very generous and after adding 6 packs of butter I was happier. LoL!Bacon (well done) - The bacon was the bomb. It was thick and well done just how I like it. Even with being well done it still had the robust flavor profile of smoked pork. Truth be told, I would come back for the bacon alone.Home Fries (well done and add onions) - The home fries were thinly sliced which made the crispyness even better. Though they were thin they still had the softness in the middle. They hit the spot.Overall, Eastgate Family Restaurant was a good meal with great service at a great price. It’s worth a visit if you’re in the area and looking for home cooked flavor without having to cook it.“
“We were visiting Henderson .After a relaxing walk along the Riverfront we decided to give Roast Coffee Bar a try .I had the hot Latte with Kentucky syrup .It was very good with notes of pecan and bourbon .My husband had the iced caramel latte he also enjoyed his drink . It was a nice little place with a great atmosphere .We will be back the next time we are in Henderson .Parking: Angel parking in front of coffee bar .“
“Stopped in @ Coffee and Cream while visiting our son @ college in Evansville. We came to Henderson to hike at the State Park and stayed for dinner and dessert afterwards. Really good ice cream and great value in 2024 economy. 24 ounce earthquake @ $6.50. I can’t understate the value in this pricing in the current economy. The Earthquake is comparable to the biggest size “snow storm” at the better known ice cream place. It might even be bigger. Absolutely no comparison. This ice cream is so much better. Do not hesitate to stop in for ice cream.“
“I'm a delivery driver and everytime I go to my local Starbucks the order is never ready, there's a ton of ppl on the lobby looking close to being fed up from waiting, and the staff is always looking frazzled. Making all these different drinks doesn't seem easy at all but if there was a better method of getting customers taken care of without such a long wait this place would be perfect“
“I mainly come here for caramel lattes. Iced or hot. For food, I really like the turkey sausage sandwich on a croissant. The service is usually timely in the drive thru and place is usually clean when I go inside. I use the app to order ahead sometimes so that saves time.“
“I've never had a bad order from here. The folks are SO NICE! I have an unusual coffee order, and everyone remembers me either when I walk in or order my coffee. Makes me feel like a local regular, and I only go in once a month or so. Just love going there.“
“Visited here for the first time today with a friend! A very cute and modernized coffee shop. I tried their iced cocoa crush with oat milk, which was recommended by the barista. They don't charge extra for alternative milks, which is wonderful for those who have dairy allergies! Service was fast, and drink was good! Will be visiting again, and hopefully to try their lunch menu.“
