While the place is dated. The food and service made up for it. Overall not a bad experience.

I visited Shoney’s in Henderson, Kentucky on 2/17/24. Our waitress was Carol. The price was reasonable. We had the breakfast buffet. The food was delicious. The service was great. The place was neat and clean with nice seating.

My kids and i drove from Evansville, IN to eat here. As we headed to the buffet for our first plate, my son suddenly got sick and wound up in the restroom with it all over his shirt and shoes. I cleaned him up the best I could and decided we should head home before having eaten anything. Our server, the woman that sat us, and the manager were amazing in the way they handled it and treated us. We didn't get to eat except for the couple of cinnamon rolls and few pieces of bacon my other 2 kids already had on their plates, which staff boxed up so my other 2 could at least have that on the drive home. Staff showed care and concern for my son and did everything they could to help and even made my sick son a Sprite in a to-go cup and made my coffee to-go without me asking for it. I appreciate this since this event was stressful enough. Absolutely wonderful people working here. We will definitely be back the next chance we get.Thank you!Kid-friendliness: Very caring, kind-hearted staff.
I say it would be a really long post if I was to post this and tell you exactly what was that happened so all I can say is follow the Stars and do not go to this place is

Horrible. I remember growing up in shoney's with my favorite. I went to the shoney's here in Indiana they have old leftover breakfast at 1:30 in the afternoon and the lunch menu was for babies all soft food such as mashed potatoes sloppy watery macaroni and cheese. And everything else on the menu was salad and green beans.. ? definitely wasn't worth $15 bucks .Plus the waitress and cook with standing around looking at me which made me uncomfortable as I was the only customer thereI guess the town knows about this restaurant and no one cared to come .
Our waitress Carol was great!
