I went to the highland heights location on Alexandria pike tonight at 9:10 and was advised there is a hour and half wait because of the computers? Hour and half would put us right at closing. They turned away at least 20 people. My husband is very very upset this is twice Eastgate location earlier this week since we live in Eastgate we specifically drove to your location for better service to find it was worse then Eastgate they would at least seat us let us know of the wait and work and not turn away customers. It was not busy several tables were open and cleaned none were dirty. Looking around I only seen maybe 1-2 tables without their food already. My husband and I used to go at least twice a week and now idk that we will be back. It was ridiculous your business is truly going down hill and for management to be okay with that and losing business and money is crazy. Wonder if corporate is even aware of this. I honestly feel like they were just trying to not have people there after close it was young kids and little girl could even explain herself why. We were not rude just walked out something needs to be done about this poor management: clearly this is why Applebees is slowly going out of business and I can understand why it’s a Friday night.

I read some reviews before coming and I was not expecting the amazing service that we got! We got seated, got our drinks and food all super quick! Our server was Lisa, very nice and sweet lady! Definitely will be back!

Applebee's just isn't what it used to be. Waiting 20 minutes for a table when the entire restaurant only has about 6 tables sat is ridiculous. I don't need to hear about how you're short of staff & a server walked out but this seems to be the constant script from the hostess. If it was not for my 13 yr old insisting to eat there, I would have gone elsewhere. Food was good though, plates were sizzling when brought out. Service was simply ok.

The place had a friendly atmosphere and the service was great and prompt. They were very accommodating to all 3 of us who were there for lunch.
Very disappointed we were at the Highland Heights location after we got an alert about the all you can eat Riblet special . They would not honor it and said they were to busy to do it even though it was very empty I know that they were having computer issues and we couldn’t use are gift cards or credit cards cash only . Now 4 days later they still don’t have there computer’s fixed and the specials are all off . It will take a lot for me to come back !!! Hopefully my gift cards will still be good ! I just hope they are not going out of business and I’m out 60.00 in gift cards !

Never even got to the food. Came in with only 5 tables sat and we sat at the bar. We counted 4 servers and 1 bartender. After sitting for 10 minutes and not once being greeted we left.

They were understaffed, so it took 15 minutes before we were greeted, and our sever had an attitude that got better as the night went on. The ribs were very hard and dry but everything else was great. All in all, we had a good time and will probably be back to this location in the future. Hope the staffing issues are solved for the sake of the employees who were clearly doing their best
