Restaurantji's guide to Hodgenville's top Mexican dining experiences.
“Javier usually seats us, he's hilarious. He makes sure everyone is "happy happy ". The whole staff is very welcoming, the service is phenomenal and I can't say enough about how good the food is. No matter the size of your party, indoors or outside, you won't regret enjoying your meal here!“
“It's all good except the parking lot which is very bad.Parking: We LOVE this place and they do a booming business so they REALLY need to fix the parking lot! We have had to drive away several times because there's no good place to park. The back of the lot is loose gravel on a slope by the dumpster so no one dares park there. A bit of money spent on the lot would provide more parking spots for paying customers.“
“I can say this place had the best tasting and freshest I think I have ever had. The cheese and tomatoes tasted so fresh, and the steak tasted as if it came right off the grill. The cheese tasted as if they just shredded it. Good job on the quality here“
“OMG the marinated pork street tacos we just had were the best we’ve had. Can’t wait to try other menu items.Parking: It’s in a strip mall so parking is sharedWheelchair accessibility: The building is small and would be tight for a wheelchair“
“This place really hit the spot when we came. We had come from a long day of hiking a few hours away and we were starving. We immediately started out with some chips and queso which were delicious. We all got our entrees and didn't really talk much we just focused on the food. The food was pretty tasty! The staff was also really nice and accommodating, especially since we had a couple of kids with us. Overall this is a very solid option in Etown when you're looking for some Mexican food with a chill atmosphere.“
“Wow! A hidden gem in the middle of Elizabethtown. you could tell the chips and salsa were homemade, the menus was less "Americanized", and the selection was sufficient. Service was excellent, the waitress answered questions clearly and was prompt with our orders. The environment was not fancy, but functional and clean. I may have just found my newest best Mexican venue in town.“
“AMAZING!! Late last night our pipe burst. We didn’t want fast food , so we decided to go here. It’s close, so we decided to try it out. It was AMAZING!!! Best Mexican we’ve had in a while. When we called in our order to go, the lady we spoke with was very pleasant , our food was hott even still when we got home, the atmosphere was awesome because they were jamming late at night and we loved that!!! Play those tunes!! Great vibes, great food, great service! We’ll be back soon.“
“I want to specifically thank and commend whomever the gentleman was in drive-thru on Friday, 15 Sep, 3ish pm. I also got the best service that I've ever gotten personally from Antoine. I asked for some flats and my food was fresh, hot, and he gave me some flats. I will frequent this location simply for the customer service, which is extremely important to me.“
“Nate helped me with a food deliver through Uber. The first drive stole my food, and he called to check if it got to me because another drive came for it. Then he rang it up and had it delivered with the new driver, he was really kind about it and I'm glad he took the initiative to call me and solve the issue. Even offered his personal number to make it easier. Can't thank him enough cause I wasn't even in town when I placed the order, it was for my niece at home. Thank you Nate!“
“El Acapulco is a hidden gem on the edge of town. It's worth the effort to go out of your way to eat here. The employees are friendly and attentive. The food is fresh and fast. I was pleasantly surprised to find the vegetables in my meal were fresh cut and not frozen. The seasoning was perfect. The salsa was full of flavor, with them giving you a mild and spicy bowl to pick from. The atmosphere is bright and colorful. Everything was clean and well kept.If you are in the Hodgenville area or nearby and hungry I would recommend checking out El Acapulco.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is on the ground level easy wheelchair access. There are designated handicapped spots. They do not have an automatic door opening button.“
