POOR EMPLOYMENT PRACTICESReview regarding employment - They hired me to run their social media from October 2022 to early January and STILL have not paid me in full. It is almost April. They owe me over $800. Unprofessional business practices. It has turned into an employee hangout. Complete disappointment to our community.UPDATE: On March 30th I received the following text form the owner, Michelle."I just wanted you to know that I have been working with the City and my personal attorney because I have debt and no money. The theft has left me with nothing. I have also been in the hospital for the last few weeks. I am not ignoring you, and I did not intentionally lie to you. I thought we would be able to pay you when I said I would. That said, I will be making payments to the debts I owe including yourself beginning next week. I will pay you 2 payments, one in April and the final in May. Both will be bank checks and mailed to you. Again, I am sorry for the situation and hope that at some point you will come in and talk." -Michelle BoomsmaToday is May 17th, I have still yet to receive the check she said she would mail in April, nor the check for May. It's hard for me to believe that she can continue paying her daily staff but yet she cannot pay me for work that was completed last year.

If I could do 9 stars out of 5, I would. Absolutely one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, the fried green tomato BLT. AMAZING! Great service, great local beer, huge selection of bourbon. If I were local I’d eat here every day!

Not much of a selection of food. Seems to have a nice selection of bourbon at the bar. However, this place has a live band (weekend/evenings?), pool tables inside but the food seems to be a little too 'upscale' if you'd like to call it that for what should be more of a 'pub' type of food offered in the given atmosphere. It's just not a good combination. Locals I'm sure will not return after one visit. But could be a decent place for the bourbon trail travelers I suppose. I doubt they'd even recommend to other travelers. Bluegrass Sabor would be a better option if you're looking for a nice-ish dinner.

Nice find for us out-of-towners! We arrived late on a Friday night after multiple stops on the bourbon trail, so they were serving from a limited bar menu, but the Burger & Fries were the bomb and they had friendly service too!

Had a GREAT MEAL and drinks here on Friday... had the daily specials of Fried Green Tomatoes and a Grilled Flank Steak and they did not disappoint. Also had their Brussel Sprout w Pork Belly app and it was amazing. Love the direction that July is taking the restaurant as it is a much welcome addition to our town!! Keep up the good work!!

Was in town for an event near by. Friend and I was looking for a place to relax and get a bite to eat. We figured we'd stop in and just check the place out and see what the menu looked like and see if we wanted to stay as we had another location in mind as well.Bartender had no personality, menu was very small and we didn't see anything that we really wanted to eat and decided to check the other restaurant out. While we was here we both got a soda to drink as we don't drink alcohol. When the bartender came to see if we wanted food we told her that we wouldn't be eating and what did we owe for the drinks as we where happy to pay for them. Bartender told us not to worry about she'd take care of it, but her attitude about it needed an adjustment. We were happy to pay and just because we decided to not to eat here the bartender didn't need to have an attitude. So we both left a tip. This place would be good to go to if you going out for drinks and play pool and if you needed something to eat they have a small menu. Inside is super cool and all.

This is my first time writing a restaurant review, although I've worked in the hospitality/food & beverage industry for over 25 years. We have tried Bourbon Station 3 times now, since new owners have been in place. First time, young server had no personality and a slight attitude. After our food was delivered (regular fries vs sweet potato fries served/error they corrected) a somewhat large dog came out of the kitchen and put his nose on our table. I love dogs, I just do not want their nose on my table when eating. When I asked the server, she acted like this was normal and copped an attitude, said it was a "service dog" (no indicator on dog) and asked if I wanted to speak with the owner. The second visit we went to listen to music. Some friends from Lexington were also there (rare occasion to come to Lawrenceburg). BS was out of white wine (before band even started) and cash register was not working properly. They couldn't order drinks b/c system not printing receipts to sign/process. Not good.Saturday was our 3rd visit, although hesitation from my partner. Walked in, told to have a seat where we'd like. Min. 10-15 min before server came over, very shyly took our drink orders, and finally delivered our 3/4 full glass of water (with very little ice - which was fine - I don't always like ice) and our old fashioneds with NO ice. Anyone that drinks bourbon, and especially anyone who runs a restaurant serving and called "Bourbon Station" should know that a key component of an old fashioned is the ice. It's vital. We asked for ice and received a small, dirty glass full for us to share. The table next to us (with 4 guests) struck up a conversation while we were all waiting for our food. They had been there before us, still awaiting food, struck up a conversation about the service and they fact that they were trying this restaurant and were very hungry (it was about 7:30 at this point). We got our food and it was VERY good (pimiento cheese burger and a hot brown). Worth the wait, not worth the experience there. Our neighboring guests finally got there appetizer and quickly asked for a carryout box. Obviously they were tired of waiting and decided to go elsewhere. All of this said, the main reason for the review is hopes that the owners will realize they will not make it in a small town with this type of service. Yes you'll get the travelers coming through for a one time visit. You will never build a great, local following with the poor, untrained and attitude holding, clueless staff.

My FAVORITE place to eat in Lawrenceburg, hands down! Excellent food - chefs Matt and Jeff are at the top of their game! The service is excellent and friendly. If you are looking for a place to eat in L-burg or are touring the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, make sure Bourbon Station is on your list of stops!! Excellent food, beer, wine and bourbon/whiskey selections at a fair price! Would recommend to anyone - whether local or visiting the area! An absolute must!!

Cool little spot. We stopped by for a late lunch. Wings were huge and crispy. Try them with the bourbon glaze, so yummy! Fries were hand cut, hot and delicious. Great service too. We'll be back.

I wanted to email the owner so he’d know this but couldn’t find a website. Went in at 5:15pm on 2/16. Stood there for 8-10 minutes and no one came out. Never saw an employee (two ladies were outside smoking so maybe they were the employees; not sure). There were two guys playing pool and one guy in a blue shirt at the bar. He’d already paid his tab and he saw me standing there awhile and said to me, “yeah, I haven’t seen anyone in awhile.” I could hear people talking and laughing in the kitchen. I was gonna see if they could accommodate a party of 10. Went to the Bluegrass Sabor instead where we were welcomed and immediately seated. Hated for the owner of this business to lose a big ticket like that. But, FYI….this is what happened. I’ll delete this review once it’s seen because I don’t want the one star review to hurt your overall score.

We visited Bourbon Station on 2/10/2023 for dinner and karaoke. Food was okay, service was less than okay. I joined my group late, about 8:00 pm, because of just getting off work. Most of my group had already ordered their food, few had received theirs. I asked the waitress if it was to late place a food order, because I was told at 8:00 the kitchen closes. The waitress confirmed that the kitchen was shutting down, but there was a little bit of a window. A few minutes later the waitress comes to me to tell me the kitchen ran out of buns for burgers, then offered my burger on Texas toast (it wasn’t toasted). All the while, a member of our group is still waiting on his order that was placed when they first arrived around 7:45! My order gets delivered, the same member reminds the waitress of his order. She delivers it a few minutes later, a burger on a bun!! A bun, I thought they had ran out?

My husband Jimmy and I were taking a day trip yesterday, and when we were heading back to Horse Cave, we decided to stop at this restaurant. We loved the decor, with the dismantled Bourbon barrels wall, and the very friendly waitress! We started off with a bowl of sweetly spicy vegetable soup, then our meal came. I had the Kentucky Hot Brown, and hubby had the Fish N Chips. Yummalicious!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Found this place through a google search of nearby restaurants. Stopped in for lunch and had the brisket grilled cheese with cheddar and Swiss. Food was excellent. Speedy service, sandwich and fries were delicious. Reasonably priced for the food quality. Decor was interesting. Some parts reminded me of a diner but it was in a nice bar type area... checkered tablecloths, glitter centerpieces... Not bad - just strange. Bathroom could use some attention especially considering we were the first customers of the day. Good service. I would recommend to friends and family.

Had the opportunity to eat at the bar for a slow lunch. The owner is a transplant from Massachusetts, but you’d never be able to tell that! The food was fantastic! Everything was sourced locally and you could tell the freshness and quality in the taste of the food. It’s a newer restaurant that is definitely getting a it’s feet underneath itself after taking over an older biker bar. keep that in mind if things take longer if they are swamped as no restaurant that has only been open/operating for under three months has all kinks sorted out. The owner let us try a new menu item coming out and if you get the chance to try the Buffalo Cauliflower when it’s finally out on the menu it won’t disappoint.

Stopped in for lunch on the way to Four Roses distillery. Atmosphere, service and food was great!
