Made the brutal trip down Nicholasville Road and was surprised as to how empty it was. The server was very lovely and gave a free dessert on the house. The cheesecake was delectable, as was the birria mac n cheese. However, the entree erred on the small side for the price but I do understand that that is often a function of quality. I would come here again but at an earlier time to experience a better atmosphere.Vegetarian options: ample vegetarian options or substitutions

Took my wife and son. We had the wings and lamb ribs, Mac and cheese, Caesars salad and the chicken sandwich. All were very good. A limited menu, but what they have they do well. Overall we really enjoyed it.

I came here twice for breakfast during my trip. Breakfast during the week didn't seem too crowded and the server let me know I could have a seat wherever. I loved the aesthetics of the bar/restaurant. Wood paneling, rustic, yet modern. Be warned they don't have a huge breakfast menu, but you'll surely be able to find something if you're a breakfast fan. After looking over the menu I opted to get an egg sandwich, with an extra side of their house sauce. The sandwich came with home fries. I asked for a latte, but their machine was broke, so I got a regular coffee. The coffee was good. I tend to like a latte better, but I was really after some caffeine, so it did the trick. My egg sandwich came out later. It was beautifully prepared, with the egg, cheese, and crispy bacon. The Texas toast was buttered and toasted to perfection. The house sauce enhanced the flavor. Each bite was better than the next. The home fries were fried perfectly and tasted great. I liked the sandwich so much, I came back twice and got the same meal!

Everything was ok, but nothing exciting. Place was empty on a weekend night. Server was friendly. We got a charcuterie, which was a mix of good and bad...crackers were just Club crackers, not bread or otherwise special. In total the food, service, and ambiance are not worth the price. There are many better places in town. If you are already near the summit just go to J. Alexander's.

33 Staves is an unexpected find in the Origin Hotel at Fritz Farm! The food is fresh, creative and delicious. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the vibe here is super clean and very instagrammable. Definitely a place to add to your local list! *While this review is for brunch, a previous visit to the bar resulted in one of the best old Fashioneds I've had in Lex!

33 Staves was a good dining experience and I can recommend the grits, fried green tomatoes, collards, bread pudding and maque choux. The noise level in the open dining area was a bit much for our over 60 year old gathering even though the restaurant was only one third full. The wait staff was friendly, but a little slow consistently attending to our table. Overall 33 Staves is a good dining experience but nothing to make me rush back again.

As someone else also commented, can’t rate the food or service because we didn’t receive either one. I never write negative reviews, but it was insane. When we walked to the hotel receptionist, she just sat there and told us to walk to the restaurant and someone would help us.We had no idea where to stand and the staff were, I guess, just in the back. Maybe the food is good? I don’t know, we’ll never know.We almost came here for my birthday dinner and I’m SO glad we decided not to based on this experience.Seems like a recurring issue and friends told me not to give it a try, but I wanted to anyway. Oh well!

Wonderful food! Very unique menu. My husband and I chuckled about the pork shank entree but joke was on us because it was delicious! The restaurant is a bit loud as it is basically a hotel lobby but the ambiance was nice despite such. Definitely recommend!

Service was great as well as the ambiance. The Salmon main course was awesome but the only negative would the Charcuterie board was very simple and plain for the price.

Gorgeous space - modern with a touch of Kentucky/bluegrass. Maybe a little too brightly lit. The bartender was friendly - would like to see a little more creativity in the cocktail menu. Food was ok but not great. First order of fries was excellent. Second order was soggy. Main dish was fine but nothing to write home about. From reading other reviews, seems like there is quite a bit of variance in food quality based on who is in the kitchen that day. Not awful for a hotel restaurant but could be better. Will give it another try in the next few months.

33 Staves was a good while in out and want to catch a bite to eat kind of joint. Limited menu, but the food was good and fresh. For an appetizer, we ordered the friend Green tomatoes with pickled shrimp. It was an interesting take, but the tomatoes were very small. Flavor was ok, the pickled shrimp gave it a diverse flavor. I ordered the steak frites and my wife order the grilled chicken Caesar salad. The steak was good, medium well, the knife cut thru smoothly. I did not like the butter with what appeared to be sundried tomatoes, so I removed it quickly. Fries were basic but serve hot. My wife thought the chicken was cooked really well. The service was prompt. They made a good Old Fashioned, nothing spectacular but was made well.

Cannot rate the food or service because we did not receive either one. Completely ignored by staff. First time visiting and sorry to say I won't be back.

Food was excellent and came out quickly after we ordered. Chuck roast Mac n cheese, pork oca bosa and steak frites were all very good. It was a little cold and the area feels a bit like a lobby. Overall, we would be happy to eat there again. Very reasonable for NY eve. Drinks were excellent especially the Golden Ticket.

I did not realize this restaurant was in a hotel. When we arrived, everyone was very warm and welcoming and we were impressed with the service and the food. We will definitely go back. I loved being able to spread out and have a little space to ourselves. I have only good things to say about the experience. I want to try some other things on the menu. Everything we had was very good. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The place is so cute. Came for cocktails and was surprised to see they still had a summer salad on the menu the week before Christmas. They were also out of martini classes and served my espresso martini is a half empty rocks glass. It has potential for a cool vibe but just isn't there.
