Who is this lady working in here at the register? She is rude to the point I completely lost my appetite.. I couldn’t even look at the menu without her snatching it out of my hand “it’s set up for you to not have to turn over” she says.. then I’m waiting to order with no one else waiting in front of me in the small store with 3 other workers ignoring me..With that type of nasty energy I completely lost my appetite (the food looks mediocre anyway) but I should spend my money here right? I’ll cook at home.
Their food is always AMAZING!! If you are ever in the Lexington area, it's a must. They have several locations that never disappoint.

Although not primarily a sit down restaurant, we dined in and had great service. Although Beth’s gyro was only ‘good’, my moussaka was excellent - homemade, creamy and with the expected eggplant base. I’d recommend going for the Greek Specialties rather than Greek fast food - what they make is excellent.

I wish this place would do something about their cold dry chicken gyro meat. I usually get the chicken Santorini with greek style green beans and lemon potatoes or greek salad all those things are exceptional. But every time I get a chicken gyro it's cold and it's not the toppings.I think maybe since it doesn't have a sauce maybe it doesn't hold heat well when it's in the steam table..regardless it's always cold and bland.Im a cook in a a commercial setting so I tend to blame the cooks maybe they don't stir the product frequently enough or leave the lid off in between serving but it's a bad look from an otherwise good restaurant. I think maybe they should discontinue the chicken gyro or do better because what they're doing now isn't working..I've read other reviews that think the same so if you eat there skip the chicken gyro.

I love Athenian Grill. The establishment is always clean, the service is always great and the food is absolutely amazing. I wish there was one closer to Nicholasville but I am happy to make the drive into Lexington. I can't wait to go back.
