I absolutely loved Azur. We were seated outside in the patio that has beautiful flowers surrounding. We started with dumplings and the pimento cheese fritters. Simply delectable. The dumplings had a beautiful sauce that was tangy and filled with umami. The pimento cheese fritters were like biting into paradise. We then had the fried chicken which was PERFECTION. the shrimp that is award winning makes perfect sense as to why it won an award. What a stunning dish with a sweet-ish risotto coconut based that paired perfectly with these crunchy shrimp. I was so happy to find some delicious dishes that lived up to their award winning!
In town for a horse event. This restaurant looks understated from the outside but don't be fooled. Great decor, great staff and a great menu. Good variety and food was well prepared. What most impressed my wife and me was we had a question on the preparation on one of our entrees. The chef came out to talk to us, and came back shortly thereafter to check on the entree, which was delicious. He took pride in his food and did everything to ensure we were having a good experience. We were both very impressed. Highly recommend!
Excellent service. Fantastic wine choice. Dinner entrees over the charts. Highly recommend this amazing restaurant.
My husband and I tried here for the first time tonight for our anniversary and we were super impressed with everything! Micah was our server and she was amazing making sure we had everything we needed from the moment we sat down. We are already planning on coming back with our family that's never tried it so they can enjoy it like we did! My husband said it was the best fish tacos he's ever had and I'll definitely be ordering the Bourbon Fried Chicken again!! Can't wait to come back!
Food was good during restaurant week but wouldn’t recommend outer patio in summer due to bugs and bad scenery. We asked to sit on patio to hear live music but couldn’t tolerate the bugs and sun angle. Too near a dumpster in near lot. Inside is fine. Service is good.
This place was off the charts INCREDIBLE! Let me start with the fact that I have a severe peanut allergy, and the Chefs were able to accommodate that with absolutely no problems. Everything was so far beyond my expectations. I recently ate downtown at Jeff Ruby's and it was $250 with the tip and I would gladly trade that food for this food every single time and this food was literally half that price. The Bruschetta was for sure the best that I have ever had and the Mozzerella Chicken was insane. There will be pictures to follow. I cannot say enough good things. The wait staff was kind and courteous, management was visibly walking around and ACTUALLY looking and listening to what people had to say. This was an unexpectedly refreshing experience. I will be back here soon. Thank you for the best dining experience that I have had in a long time Azur!
I went to brunch with some friends and to say the food was disappointing is an understatement. We had seen pictures of their cinnamon roll online and we couldn’t wait to order it. To our surprise when they brought out the skillet that was supposed to be housing a homemade cinnamon were, 3 tiny rolls that looked like your classic pills berry canned cinnamon rolls sat in its place. Talk about false advertisement. My hopes for my entree went down after that. I ordered the KY classic and the food lacked seasoning and again, canned bakery items were used. I could have made my brunch at home for what I paid. Not worth your money!! We’ll be taking our monthly brunch to somewhere with restaurant quality food.
Usually great food, but tonight I was served the worst steak I've ever had..for $26. Outside was burnt to charcoal so I had to use the sauce on the plate to make it edible. Sadly the sauce was the kitchen's take on ketchup. Mashed potatoes were dry and cold, so not likely fresh. I spared myself further disappointment and skipped the asparagus. Service by the waitress was A+, but she was hobbled by an incompetent helper that didn't bring out water or a steak knife. Management comp'd desserts which was appreciated, but I can not recommend anyone order a steak here.
The food and service was Amazing! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice atmosphere and delicious food
First time here and it was AWESOME!! The service, the food (AMAZING)!! The atmosphere!! Just all around awesome experience!! Thank you!!
Excellent food and fantastic service.we will be back.
I went to Azur earlier in the week for a business lunch. I tried their signature dish, woven shrimp, and it was delicious!! I just found the risotto to be too sweet but I guess that was to be expected with sweet corn n coconut in it. My colleagues ordered salads and they came in ample servings and looked delicious n fresh. As it's Restaurant Week, I wanted to try their menu so today I went again with a friend. We chose the following... ratings given in front: Starters: - Azur Signature Lobster Crepes ... 5/5 - Farmer Rob's KY Heirloom Tomatoes... 5/5 Main: - Flat Iron Surf n Turf.... 5/5 - Bourbon Fried Chicken... 3/5 Desserts: - Strawberry-pretzel Cobbler... 3/5 - S'mores Bread Pudding.... 4/5 So let's talk about the low scores... - The chicken had too much gravy and not enough mashed potatoes... plus the beans were limp. - The pretzel dessert was not very appetizing to look at... tasted ok, though a bit on the sour side... Service was great on my first visit. Today, though there were hardly any folks inside (some tables on the patio were occupied), it seemed there weren't enough servers there.
We went to Azur to celebrate two birthdays during restaurant week. The room was very stuffy. The people who ordered the flat iron steak and shrimp were universally disappointed. The steak was extremely tough, came to the table cold and the meal included only two small shrimp. Unfortunately the shrimp were by far the best part of the meal. There was not enough staff to take care of the patrons. One of the “featured “ deserts was unavailable and this only came to light after we had ordered and waited some time. The waitress asked us not to blame her because the kitchen staff didn’t bother to tell her none were available.I gave the restaurant two stars only because of the two shrimp, otherwise, one. Will not go back anytime soon.
Food was amazing! We ordered off of the “restaurant week “ menu and everything was amazing! Our server Jay was outstanding! Love it that our lab could sit outside with us!
