I cannot recommend this place enough, every thing was amazing from the moment you walk through the door. This was my first time so I wasn't sure what I what I wanted but our waiter was so good and she explained everything so well and really sold us on the specialty drinks. We sat inside and loved the feel of the restaurant the decor felt homey, and welcoming. I had the bone in pork chop it was absolutely amazing! I truly love this place and will be back again.

Salmon was overcooked and the beet puree did not compliment it. The lobster bisque was extraordinary. Service was inconsistent from start to finish, varying from good to average. Creme brulee was average. Over all underwhelming experience.

I had heard good things about this restaurant for quite some time. We decided to go to celebrate my birthday. We were seated at a cute little table in a private nook. We had the panko encrusted fried avocado appetizer. The avacado was delicious as was the lump crab salad on each half. Our waitress, Hannah, was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the menu. She was attentive but never hovered. She and the other wait staff made sure our glasses were never empty. I did limit myself to one Wheatley dirty martini . It was wonderful (3 olives and a lemon twist ). My husband and I shared a grilled Caesar salad and enjoyed it very much. The grilling process added depth of flavor. For entrees we had the blackened pompano fish that came on a bed of roasted vegetables ( including Brussels sprouts and daikon radish ) and the beef shoulder tender on mashed potatoes with blistered cherry tomatoes. Both were very good. The bread basket we sampled was also above average in deliciousness. Our favorite was the black pepper biscuits. They were tender and flaky with the perfect amount of pepper. To top off a wonderful meal we had butterscotch cookies as well as the chocolate chip. A big thank you to Hannah for the recommendation! So glad we came to Coles!! Very enjoyable dinner!!

Our favorite place in Lexington never disappoints. Always make you feel welcome, great service and food. Five stars! Wife had the wagyu meatloaf (special) and loved it. I had a beef filet and duck fat fries. Be back soon!

My partner had the duck confit and pronounced it "very nicely cook," which is high praise because she has had the dish several times in France! She pronounced the crispy potato side as"out of the ordinary" (in a good way). The burrata and beet salad special she had was disappointing because it had only a sprinkling of small cubes of beets and not much orange (the salad had no dressing; the burrata, beets and oranges were intended to provide moisture). I had the blackened chicken. It was spicy and tasty. We each had a glass of wine chosen from a rather mediocre wine list. The ambiance was fine but we were seated by a large, single pane window on a very cold night, so it was uncomfortably cold at our table.

Our date night was wonderful!! The pork chop we loved and talked so much about...was AMAZING! The new spin on this chop is delightful and SO tasty!!!! So glad it's “back!!” Yolanda is our favorite and takes such good care of us, always.

We were really looking forward to our dinner here for a late Valentines celebration. Let me start off by saying, our meal was excellent. However, we were seated in the bar dining area (even though I made the reservation a month in advance) and we absolutely froze to death! We could feel cold air rushing in against the wall and thru the back door that remained closed. Our waiter wasn't that great either. Started off ok but then he would disappear for long periods of time before coming back and seemed to be very interested in the UK game when we did see him. Our reservation was at 6:30 and we didn't get out of there until after 9 pm and it made it seem even longer because we were freezing. I would go back because the food was great but I won't be going back in the winter unless I was guaranteed a seat in the main dining room!

Service was impeccable and the food was delicious! The Lexington cocktail was a great way to begin our experience as we arrived before our table was ready. One of our favorite date-night spots.

Coles 735 Main is consistently one of the best restaurants in Lexington for any occasion. The food is better than any high-end steak house in town, and the service is outstanding. The environment in the restaurant is laid back and feels homey, and the patio in the summer is top tier. Overall, Coles 735 Main exceeded our expectations, once again.

The ambiance here was perfect. Quaint, perfectly lit, a fireplace, not too loud or quiet. It was a great environment for a nice romantic dinner. The food was fantastic. We got the shrimp tempura appetizer, honey Cajun glazed shrimp appetizer, the beef shoulder tender entree and chicken saltimbocca entree. All the food was cooked perfect, I was surprised to be asked what temperature I wanted my beef, I've never been able to have that level of specificity and let me tell you, it was great. The cocktails were tasty and did the job, but the bread basket was to die for, and I loved the variety of it. Our server was very nice, professional, and had the very large seasonal/special menu memorized, which was impressive. They did everything in their power to ensure we had a top tier dining experience, we will definitely be coming back.
