Very friendly service. The ambiance needs acoustic panels because it gets very loud inside. Other than that the food is delicious and a great price point for how much you receive.

Excellent food, friendly staff, great coffee! Eggs were cooked perfectly 2 different ways. The fresh fruit was actually FRESH - as in cut right off the pineapple. It was busy but we didn't wait long at all for our food. Loved the free refills on coffee and tea. Cute outdoor seating area. Can't wait to go again!

Disappointed with my experience at Doodles Restaurant. The omelette looked like it was cooked in an unclean pan, and to my dismay, found hair in the jelly. Poor food serving indeed. Cleanliness and quality are fundamental in food service. Won't be returning anytime soon.

I've been here for breakfast but today was the first time I've had their lunch. It did not disappoint. Same quality as their breakfast menu. Sitting on the patio while eating was a great day to spend outside in the gorgeous spring Kentucky weather.

Food just was not good , had the customer service to match, and some items on their menu wasn't even available (the Bellini). On the positive side it's open seating if you like to squeeze past people while they eat . 2 out of 10 would not recommend.

Shrimp and grits were delicious. Fresh and flavorful. Good presentation and fast service. Place was crowded but efficient.

Had the Biscuits and gravy with sunny side up eggs with potatoes and coffee. They were yummy. Ordered the Beignets for our group to try and they were okay. Not like the ones in New Orleans but ok nothing to write home about. It reminded me of a whole in the wall but very cute.

Delicious! We came at 10:30 AM on a Saturday for brunch , and it was hot and happening. I enjoyed the Motown music that was playing and the cleanliness of the place. And let me tell you the food is worth the wait! My friend ordered the huevos rancheros. I ordered the dirty shrimp and grits. We also ordered beignets to go (yummy!). Let me say that everything was excellent including the coffee. Definitely loved the dirty shrimp and grits which also had a sweet green onion remoulade that elevated the dish. Overall, will definitely be coming back to this gem of a place. Suggestion--coming early on the weekends or you might have to wait for a table.

Great little casual breakfast place close to campus with parking. You order at the counter, then sit and they bring the food to your table. It's mostly standard breakfast items, but a few interesting adds, like beignets and side item options that include spicy fries or cheese grits. We tried a few different items. For me, it was the BELT, basically a BLT was egg and cheese grits as the side. It was pretty good. I'm glad I tried the grits, although they weren't quite my thing. Others ordered the Cure breakfast with fries, a breakfast sandwich with breakfast potatoes and the Little Egg Doodle. Everyone enjoyed our food and we compared it with breakfast the day before (I rated 5 stars) and we were mixed on which meal was better. For me, this is solid 4. My girls said the bacon was really good. The place is old fashioned cozy, but nothing special inside. Wood table felt a little sticky. You get coffee or drinks yourself and water/soda is a large acrylic glass. Nothing wrong with any of that, but you get the feel. Menu is good, food is solid, service is fast, and prices are reasonable. The beignets were good, because it's a beignet and who doesn't like a warm doughnut with powdered sugar, but it wasn't a great beignet, just a decent one. I would go back and I could see this as a regular for students on a weekend.

The food was great. Served hot and fast. Iv never had grilled biscuits before but they were delicious. Recommend to everyone who likes a great breakfast.

Doodles - A Charming Spot for Delightful Breakfast When I embark on my journeys to Lexington, Kentucky, there is one place that always finds its way onto my must-visit list: Doodles. This quaint establishment has captured my heart with its delectable beignets and home-style cooked breakfast. On my recent visit, I savored a delightful Bellini and indulged in some mouthwatering bacon. However, I must admit that I encountered a minor hiccup during this particular trip. The table I was seated at was not as immaculate as I would have liked, and unfortunately, my eggs fell short of their usual perfection. Despite these slight imperfections, I remain an ardent fan of Doodles, and I have faith that they can elevate their weekend offerings to even greater heights. Exquisite Beignets and Home-Style Breakfast Doodles has become a beloved destination for breakfast enthusiasts in Lexington, and for good reason. Their beignets are simply divine, boasting a perfect balance of lightness and indulgence. The moment you take a bite, you are transported to a realm of fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth goodness that is nothing short of heavenly. Additionally, Doodles' commitment to home-style cooking shines through in their breakfast menu. From the savory aroma of sizzling bacon to the comforting warmth of perfectly cooked eggs, every dish is crafted with love and care. It is a breakfast experience that truly satisfies the soul. A Slight Blemish on an Otherwise Wonderful Experience While Doodles has consistently delivered exceptional breakfast fare, my recent visit did encounter a minor setback. As I settled into my seat, I noticed that the table was not as pristine as I would have expected. This small oversight did not dampen my enthusiasm, but it did leave a slight blemish on an otherwise wonderful experience. Additionally, I found that the eggs, a staple of Doodles' breakfast menu, did not quite reach the heights of perfection that I have come to expect. Although this deviation from their usual excellence was disappointing, I believe it to be an isolated incident that can be remedied. A Call for Improvement on Weekends As a devoted fan of Doodles, I hold high hopes for their weekend offerings. While my recent visit may not have lived up to my usual expectations, I am confident that Doodles has the potential to shine even brighter. I encourage the establishment to pay close attention to the details, ensuring that tables are spotless and that every dish, including the beloved eggs, is prepared with the utmost care. By doing so, Doodles can elevate their weekend experience and continue to captivate the hearts and taste buds of their loyal patrons. In conclusion, Doodles remains a charming spot that I hold dear to my heart. Despite encountering a minor hiccup during my most recent visit, I remain a devoted fan. I eagerly await the day when Doodles will surpass even its own high standards and deliver an impeccable weekend experience that will leave guests like myself in awe.

Being a Northerner, grits were something I had to wrap my head around but I had the best Dirty Shrimp and Grits at Doodles! The presentation is attractive, the so-western (? Or Cajun?) seasoning on the grilled shrimp is delicious, the cheesy grits are moist and comforting, and the garnishes are perfect!
