Have been there twice and the kitchen has been closed both times. Draft beer selection is limited for an Irish Pub.

Stopped in The Jockey last night and had a great experience. Drinks prices weren't inflated because of the location. Right in the middle of downtown. Bartender was super friendly and attentive. Got a pizza from Rise Up Pizza kitchen (a separate entity apparently) and it was amazing! Will definitely return asap. I'm a Lexington native and will definitely be a new "regular" Highly recommend

Absolutely no Irish food available, only pizza from restaurant next door. Does not deserve the title of an Irish pub. Do not recommend.

Very nice place to hang out for refreshments and very tasty handmade food! Never frozen thawed! And the staff are all very welcoming and friendly!Wheelchair accessibility: Go to the side door! I'm positive they'll open the second door for you!

Been for brunch and lunch. I love the location and the place is fine, but I was pretty disappointed in the brunch; we waited around an hour for a breakfast sandwich and an English and then they got my breakfast sandwich wrong somehow. I chalked this up to a soccer game that everyone was watching, despite maybe less than 20 people in, not eating. With the time we had to wait, it didn't seem like asking for a redo was prudent given our time constraints. They apologized, but left everything on the bill. For a couple bucks, that just means don't go back. But I did and the Shepard's Pie is fricking delicious and whoever was tending bar then was cool AF. So yeah, hit or miss. Will go back.

I actually really enjoyed going here, it was a mix of young, middle, and older crowd..the door guy was amazing, he explaimed everything and who to talk too and took a few min to chat with us. Downstairs they have tv to watch, full bar and plenty of seats. You can then go outside to the upstairs deck and listen to a live dj with kind of a rave vibe also a bad up there to, a nice patio to set on as well...def a return visit soon..check it out..its the same acw that was once cheapside

Food is wonderful but the hours posted on Google are wrong. They were not open at 11am on a Saturday. Very disappointing because we love the food. We had to go somewhere else. Hope they will get the correct hours soon.

Drove to a show in Lexington, 2 hrs away from home, looked up Horse and Jockey. I was super excited to try this place...it said it was open for business online, we get there they are not. We saw someone setting up the place and asked. He said they open at 1pm today so we went had a drink elsewhere and come back...we were that excited to try it come back at 1 they aren't open. We called and waited around until almost 130pm no one ever opened up the restaurant. Would have loved to try a non-chain while in town there but eneded up walking a quarter mile and having something else in a hurry before our show started.

Dancing to the DJs on the top floor was so fun! There was a security man there who was super rude to a few different customers. He was calling them names like idiot and other expletives. He was throwing chairs at one point and just not professional at all. I was there with a group of friends for New Year’s Eve, and the cover was only $10 to go upstairs and dance, which I thought was not a bad deal. I would go back again, but I did not appreciate the behavior of this one security person.
