Good food, large servings, very good quality, and good prices. The atmosphere is actually very nice considering that it's in a strip mall, but the staff needs to match the ambiance. Our server wearing grey sweatpants and a hoodie made for a less than desirable experience. Salt and pepper on the tables would also be nice.

New owners. Food is "okay". But NOT the same quality it used to be.

Everything was very tasty! We came in with a group of four on a Friday at 5, and were sat right away. I was a little disappointed that there were no beer/ wine options, but the food menu had plenty of options! The portions were a good size, though I do think prices were still a little high. We will definitely be visiting again!

My pad tai had no peanuts. I was told when I called to complain you had to ask so when I got home I had to make some peanut sauce on my own.Fried rice looked white with some corn and a small piece of red pepper.Spring roll really hard over cooked.General Guai chicken bright red no broccoli and chicken tough though plenty of it.Counter help polite restaurant clean.Great parking too.Next time I'll ask what they recommend.

I ordered the salt & pepper beef ribs, which was always my fav before, since they just reopened with a new owner, but it was so much oily than before it didn't have the salty coating it had before, it also had white onions and none of the spicy peppers it used to have. The fried rice was also horrible it tasted stale had zero flavor, and didn't seem cooked right. If you were gonna reopen with some of the same menu items then you might as well have used the very loved recipes of old, after you went to the trouble of buying the place.

Well, they have reopened, pity really. They used to be exceptional, but now they are terrible. Salt & Pepper ribs were oily, and the fried rice was bland. If you are thinking of going, just don't. Try Chengs instead.

We're longtime fans of J2C, but a pickup order this weekend left us bitter and disappointed. The general Tso's chicken here has been the best we've ever had - crunchy and moist chicken with an incredible sauce. Last night, our order may have been the worse we've had in Lexington. The recipe has changed and it was so bad. The fried rice also had a new recipe that was bland and greasy. Pad Thai was sticky, greasy, and again- just bad. Not sure if there is no management or maybe this was a fluke evening, but another trip like this one will result in us permanently leaving this place. The high prices here were always justified by fresh, Flavorful food that surpassed typical fast Chinese. Now it's overpriced and not much better than mall food court Chinese. Really hoping for a better experience the next time we feed our family on $60 of Chinese food.

J2C Asian Bistro certainly exceeded my expectations. As an American born Chinese, I wasn't expecting much but still decided to order take out from their lunch menu. To my surprise, the food was high quality with portion sizes that were more than satisfying. My order included the beef Kung Pao, which was a delightful experience. The meat was cooked perfectly and combined well with the sauce, making it a dish I would highly recommend. In addition to this, the egg drop soup was full of flavor. Each spoonful was rich and fulfilling, making it another standout item on their menu. It's worth mentioning that at the time of my visit they only offered curbside pick-up which took a little longer than expected as they were pretty busy.Another note, if you're dining with people with allergies this may not be the place for you. Sadly, they aren't able to accommodate people with gluten allergies. I was surprised to learn their pad thai was not gluten free, and unfortunately they don't invest in gluten free soy sauce or oyster sauce. Creating allergen friendly items would be my one suggestion to the owners. Regardless, their food as it comes is delicious so this doesn't count against them.I am definitely looking forward to trying more dishes from J2C Asian Bistro and would recommend it to anyone seeking authentic Asian cuisine in a convenient manner.

I love the food here but hate that it is take out only. I don't live in Lexington so it is very inconvenient to try to eat my food in the car . Come on guys, open back up for in person dining, please !

Great food! They used to own Chengs and I've been looking for their delicious food for years. Glad to have found them.

My buddy has raved about this place for quite some time. He has asked me to eat here on several occasions and I never gave it the opportunity. Turns out, that mistake was on me. I ate here for the first time today, and it was amazing. I ordered Crab Rangoon, Chicken Lo Mein, Steamed Dumplins and General Tsos Chicken. Everyone of these items was the best version of itself that I have ever had. This restaurant is taking the place of my normal Asian Cuisine.

Oh man. I ordered the mapo tofu. It was not mapo tofu. There was no hint of numbing spice at all. The chilli pepper used was wrong. There was an assortment of random corn and peppers that were not supposed to be there. The tofu was weird and fried, which it's not supposed to be. It did not taste remotely close to mapo tofu. This is the equivalent of ordering spaghetti and meatballs and getting mac and cheese. Or ordering hummus but instead of it being made with chickpeas, someone used pinto beans. It's not the dish. You can't just make any tofu dish and call it mapo tofu. As a Chinese American, I was seriously misled by this. Would suggest they call the dish something else. If you are expecting real mapo tofu, this isn't it. The restaurant may have good reviews, and the food may be good to a lot of people, but it's not authentic

Take out only today, no dine in, so we left. Hopefully we can try again when visiting Lex.

I ordered moo goo gai pan and loved it! I have found my absolute favorite Chinese restaurant in lexington. It was so full of flavor and the chicken wasn't rubbery like I've had from some places. They were so nice and quick plus my meal came in a container with a lid because no one eats all they're Chinese food at once. Gotta save the rest for later and the container is perfect for that reason. I will be ordering from here again.Parking: They are working and it's roped off right now So there's usually more spaces to park but not right now
