I am writing to commend your employee, Matthew, at your 2305 Sir Barton Way location in Lexington, KY. He was so pleasant and cheerful, despite being the ONLY employee in the building during a lunch rush. Greeting customers, taking orders, cooking, and delivering food to tables with a smile.
Like the rest of the world, Joella’s is short staffed, and that’s understandable. But I hope that the people who make the decisions are able to give this sweet man a raise or bonus or BOTH!

Just wasn't much positive to write about. The person taking our order didn't seemed concerned about anything. I ordered the tenders and waffle. The waffle was tasteless and cold. The tenders were hot with ok flavor. They don't give you enough syrup to even get the waffle damp. I tried to ask for more but couldn't find anyone working the front. I thought it odd that virtually no one was in there on a Friday evening. Too many other options these days to deal with mediocrity. I hope my experience was an exception.

Stopped in again today and the Ghost Pepper tenders were on point. Met the General Manager Matthew, and he was extremely personable, very friendly, and his personality shines through. Will definitely be back again soon.

Food quality and service has been a much better experience when visiting.Longer review than normal. tldr at bottom.Food is incredible. Service is Absolutely TERRIBLE.Past three orders... Completely Missing a meal for someone. Missing fries. Wrong sauce. 35 Minutes wait past the scheduled wait.After time and time again of giving this location the benefit of the doubt for being new. We've ordered in store, door dash and their website,,,, and its always the same result. Missing items. Wrong order. Extremely long wait times (longer than what the app or email confirmation says) A simple " here's a pie in a jar to make up for it doesn't cut it anymore...though im thankful for the gesture,"NEVER had this issue at the Chevy chase location. Its great!I would say if you are going to order. Order from the Chevy chase location.The Hamburg location staffs one cashier on their busiest days.TLDR: Joellas is great (if you go to the chevy chase location)

My family and I went to this Joella’s on Sunday after church and while we normally love Joella’s, this time was a nightmare. We waited in line for 15 minutes to order. They had one teen boy taking orders and delivering food to tables at the same time. When I finally ordered he first asked me if I thought he could throw a piece of paper over his head and it the trash can without looking. All I wanted was to order. We finally ordered and 40 minutes later still no food. I asked where our food was and was told that there were a lot of people so they were behind, even though the place was half empty. Over an hour later our food arrived. There was no apology for the wait or offer to make things right. Also my daughters grilled jumbo tenders weee less than a 3rd of the size of the other tenders. I left a review on their app and they still never reached out to make it right. This was a place I loved that I may never go back to. At over $60 we deserve our money back
