Probably I'd overall give this place 3.5 stars, but my last paragraph will explain why I'm choosing 3 stars instead of 4. Glazed donut 4/5- more yeasty than a typical glazed donut from a franchise, so I'd order this again Danish 5/5- delicious, filling, crumbly. I recommend consuming this with black coffee or unsweetened teaChocolate donut 1.5/5- I really didn't like it. It tasted like a glazed donut topped with an overwhelming amount of grocery store chocolate frosting, so not even that strong of a chocolate flavor Chicken biscuit 4/5- the biscuit's texture is somewhere between a biscuit and white sandwich bread. I liked it, but it might not be everyone's favoriteI'm rounding down to a 3 star review though, because tipping culture is becoming insane and Magee's is not helping. After placing an order and the cashier swivels the iPad around, there's an option to leave a tip or no tip. But the options to tip are 25% 30% and 35%, which creates that really annoying moment when the customer has to decide whether or not to look like a miser.

Best baked treats I've ever consumed!!I am a visitor from Florida, and my best friend from Kentucky always brings me back a donut from Magee's but it is unfortunately always squished after traveling back to Florida. I was finally able to have a fresh one and was NOT disappointed!-Chocolate Donut-Classic Glazed Donut-Plain Croissant (best thing I've ever consumed)

First place I got good quality bagels in the state. The breakfast hot brown sandwich was incredible, and the portion was huge! Definitely pack this one to go or bring a friend to share with. Coffee is solid too

Ok place with ok food had the main st breakfast with country ham and scrambled eggs. The ham was more like prosciutto due to it being so thin. The eggs were a little on the scorched side. Biscuits were great coffee was good. Next time I believe we will try the pastries.

A Lexington tradition! I grew up with these donuts, and I’ve loved watching this establishment grow from donuts into other baked goods. Always consistent, fresh and delicious. And the best part is the customer service you get with your box of baked goods. This morning I stopped in after an overnight flight, and even though most places in town were closed due to weather, Magee’s was open, serving hot coffee and fresh donuts with a smile. Glad some things never change!

love the joint. brought the girl i like here and we went to a bunch of art galleries after and had a wonderful day. anyway the buffalo chicken dip sandwich is absolutely to die for and the apple danish isn’t far behind. the table we sat at was wobbly. wasn’t super excited about that. the mural on the wall is beautiful but if you gave me some ADHD medication and a couple days i think i could pull it off. would immediately come again. love the place

We were in town for a concert and stopped in Magee’s for a quick bite. It is absolutely to die for! Best doughnuts, biscuits, breakfast and brunch options we’ve seen in a long time. Keep it up y’all!

Cannot say enough positive things about Magee’s! My wife and I contacted Magee’s to make custom cookies and doughnuts for our wedding at Keeneland. To say everything was perfect would be a massive understatement. The cookies were as delicious as they were beautiful, and the doughnuts were genuinely the best I’ve every had (we had so many wedding guests come up to us raving about the doughnuts). Magee’s also provided the groom and groomsmen breakfast for the big day, which was delicious and filling. I can rave all day about the quality of their products, but what truly makes Magee’s special are the people. Romesh, Beverly, and Greg treated us like family from the moment we met. They genuinely CARED about making our day special and went above and beyond in every way possible to make our day special. There really is no reason to look elsewhere if you’re looking for any pasty products in the area.

Oh Magee's is REALLY nice! Go to Magee's to kick off your day. Bright and early. Pull up to Magee's with a big breakfast party. Order yourself the Triple Threat. It's two meats, egg, and cheese all rolled up in a croissant. It's really really good. If you want the Triple Threat on a biscuit, you CAN'T get it because there are no substitutions! We'd go in and they'd say "no substitutions. No substitutions." They can't stop you from ordering a Triple Threat AND a biscuit though. Before you knew it, we were dumping those toppings onto our biscuits. Eggs and meat flying right off of those croissants and onto the biscuits. They were trying to get us to stop. We had to eat as fast as we could! Oh it was really really good though! I loved the Long Johns too. 5 stars.

Excellent donuts! Breakfast sandwiches are on point as well. My favorite place for breakfast when visiting Lexington

Great food quality and a local favorite! My mother used to bring me to Magee's as a young boy. I always got the creme horn. I went today, and I had one for memory's sake. Lots has changed, as it has evolved from a pure bakery to a bistro-cafe. I remember being fascinated by the bread slicing machine, which was close enough to the front counter to see in action. Now, there is great seating and a fantastic breakfast and lunch menu. The cashier tipping options default to a minimum of 20% and increase from there, which is very forward-leaning for a counter service bistro. Of course, you are welcome to not tip at all, but to me, that always feels a bit un-generous.We can recommend the coffee and the fresh-squeezed OJ. The croissants stand up well in their sandwiches and are vastly different from what you might think of as a croissant from a fast-food restaurant.Once upon a time, the creme horns were filled with a lighter whipped cream, and now they have a heavier, sweeter, butter cream. Both are wonderful! I must say, though, that I would love to see the original return.Parking: Parking is tight but vastly expanded from what it once was. The hardest part is getting in from the downtown-bound lane. I recommend coming from the Richmond-bound lane and exiting the same way.

Absolutely delicious. Stopped in with my family around noon. The place was very cool and clran inside and had the yummiest food. I got the hot brown and oh my goodness. I know a good hot brown and that one was the best I've had!

The food is great! I’m giving 2 stars due to the fact everytime I order pickup, I’m expected to pay over the phone. One time it was (people run off without paying) the other times (they are too busy to run it when I arrive) simply untrustworthy. fix this issue please
