Best Italian in Lexington. Any place that brings you a literal slab of fried mozzarella doused in delicious tomato sauce is a winner in my book. Get the chicken parmesan.

Best Italian food in Lexington, hands down! Pisano is unpretentious with a classic old school Italian mural interior and the services was timely and friendly. The portions of the food are generous and the prices are very reasonable. The menu is quite extensive, so I’ll definitely return to try many of the other dishes!Vegetarian options: The vegetable lasagna and the eggplant Parmesan were excellent! Other options were pasta primavera, cheese tortellini, baked penne and other pasta dishes.

We’ve been going to Paisano’s for years, and I mean YEARS. There were occasional off nights but we’d go again and it was delicious. Well, since ownership changed, it’s gone steadily downhill. First, the owner decided that no one needed blue cheese dressing. Can live with that. The next time, the red sauce had been scorched and was really bitter. Gave them the benefit of the doubt, tried again, red sauce was good. Last month ordered a carry out pizza, was supposed to be Pizza Bianco. It wasn’t, just regular and rather mediocre pizza. One more try tonight. Did we get Pizza Bianco? Yes and no. No red sauce. No sauce at all. The crust? Something you would expect at Little Caesar’s or some other place that uses premade crust. And all this deliciousness (ha!) for $50. We are sad to say that this is yet another Lexington restaurant that we will NEVER go to again!

Classic authentic Italian dining in a cozy, quaint setting. Delicious, piping hot dishes are served with salads, homemade dinner rolls and friendly service. Homemade desserts such as cheesecake and tiramisu are the crowning star of any meal Paisano’s. The wine list is remarkable with a nice variety of choices within a reasonable price range. Skip the chains and enjoy delicious flavor and personal service.

It has been a while because we moved away but this a go-to for us when we visit. Though I had pizza once it was the best we can remember. The calamari rings come with the best marinara on the planet. Though inconsistent, the chicken piccata has been so good as to defy description. The carbonara we get with spaghetti and it is the best. Tiramisu is also excellent. I will always come back for the food...always. The staff is at least part family and they are friendly and outstanding

Consistent great quality and portions of food. Been going over 30 years. Recently named one of top 3 Italian restaurants in Lexington! Good selection on menu. Friday night it was packed, fast service.

We have enjoyed their food for years. Not this time. It was a disaster. Calamari was rubbery with limp breading. It was also 1/3 of the amount from the past. The "lightly steamed" clams on the linguini were straight out of a can and the pasta was sadly lacking any seasoning at all. The "house salad" was smidgen of iceberg with a bit of shredded carrots, period. The only decent item was a the homemade roll, very good. I guess the restaurant has new owners as the food quality has bottomed out.

Wow if 0 stars were an option it would have been chosen. Ordered the chicken saltimbocca and it was absolutely horrific. Took one bite and almost spit it across the table. The service was horrible and when we asked for the check she looked at the table and said oh do you want boxes and we said no and she didn’t even care that the plates were still completely full. Will never ever be back. By far worst food I have ever tasted.
