First time visiting in the area, and thought I'd check it out. The ambience was cute and I liked the decor/vibe. The service was great and I was greeted with a friendly smile, but these doughnuts were not good, like at all. They were dry, flavorless and both items I had to try were very disappointing. The berries and cream stuffed doughnut was only filled with this pink icing of a mix that tasted like strawberry toothpaste. It was not fresh berries. It was not fresh cream. It was NOT worth the $2.50. Same with the cinnamon sugar, very dry, dough was flavorless and just a huge disappointment. I wanted to like because of how cute of a shop it was. But man these were not good at all.

North Lime is a neighborhood staple. So glad to have a donut and coffee shop on this side of the town. I'm a simple gal. I get my donut plain and some days paired with a latte if I haven't made coffee at home yet. I've also gotten donuts by the dozen and coffee in bulk to bring to work, and it is always a hit!

My husband and I stopped in the Westport Village location this morning. The baristas were amazing and very customer service oriented. The donuts were amazing as well. We will be back if we ever find ourselves near one again!

Great people, LOCAL Lexington donut shop! Support the community and support great donuts! Can't compare to Krispy Kreme, completely different type of donuts. Recommend their specialty coffee drinks as well!

Always out and that's if they are open!! You should have your business flow figured out by now so as not to always be running out early. The last three times I have traveled here for the holidays North Lime is either closed or out of donuts super early. If this was a new establishment I would understand as they are probably still figuring out their flow. However, when it's 9AM and there is literally a line out the door and you are out of donuts I want to throw my arms up in the air and curse small business. As much as I love small business, it's activities like this that make small business look bad and chains work.

Picked these up on the morning of my birthday. The service was great and they had just made a fresh batch of the chocolate glazed. Best donuts I've ever had and will definitely be back!

We are not from Lexington, so we looked on google maps for a solidly reviewed coffee and donuts place to stop in as we were driving through and this one looked highly recommended. Once we got there, we noticed we weren't the only ones who had that idea because it was super crowded! The line moved decently fast, so we are glad we didn't let that scare us away. They had a lot of different flavors of donuts, included gluten free options. I ended up choosing a glazed, chocolate covered and also tried the cinna-monkey. Overall the donuts were really good. They felt slightly drier and not as airy/doughy than I normally like, but it wasn't bad. I probably wouldn't get the chocolate one again, as I thought the choc they used was a little overpowering, but the original glazed was good. My wife wasn't the biggest fan of her coffee, so not sure we will be back on next time through, but it was good and in a cool little mall area.

Very good donuts (cake and yeast varieties), daily donut selection changes slightly, large coffee shop menu. Hipster vibe, countertop and table seating. They show you the 6-8 donuts of the day by the counter. They usually have 2 vegan choices (have not tried). Staff is very friendly and the line moves fast. I have tried most of their daily selection, all are great fresh, but don’t try and save them for the next day… they’re not the same. I haven’t tried their barista made drinks, but based off the daily lines, I would say they must be good.

My absolute favorite donut spot in Lexington! I always drop by when I'm back home and it always hits the spot. Out of these, my favorite was the sprinkles donut and the cinnamonkey. I also like to reheat them in the air fryer or microwave!

Of the North Lime locations, this is not the original (which is aptly further North and on Limestone; not Limestone street, just Limestone). The original appears to be the superior location, offering more ambiance and vegan donut options. The reason I ended up down at Clays Mill was mainly because of an online app offer that took me here. When I arrived, there was a set of shelves with bags for pickup, none of which were mine, and some boxes at the counter, one of which was. Given the line, I'm glad I poked around on my own, but I wish the pickup location were clearer. I also wish online ordering from them were easier, as getting their menu to pull up has been a problem and I don't know what magic I worked to get it this time. Anyway, the donuts are cake-y and filling. There are daily and weekly rotating flavors, as well as basics. They put the chocolate topping on top of a regular glazed donut, which is as indulgent as it sounds. These aren't the most crazy fancy donuts I've had, but the variety was certainly sufficient to intrigue me.I didn't indulge in their beverage options, but again I think it's largely a consequence of third party apps not displaying all of them. They have their own online ordering and app so maybe the take-home lesson is that I'll try that in the future, as I can definitely see getting some more of these donuts.

I don't go here very often but NLCD really keeps a variety of donuts rotating in and out on a weekly basis you'll never grow bored of the selection there's always something that'll strike your fancy! Today I decided to visit as the theme was Marvel and had to taste test the chocolate cake donut (Wakanda Forever) which did not disappoint of course I'm comparing it to Krispy Kreme which was universes better from moisture to overall density and chocolatey flavor! I however wouldn't rank them better than Spaldings Bakery because they have a soft spot when it comes to the chocolate frosting and just the dough used for the donut but I would say it's second best in town!

I got two donuts from here . They were decent nothing to go crazy for just your basic donuts. They seems a bit dry to me but not terrible. The staff was friendly , the inside was clean and the line wasn't to bad of a wait . Probably would goout of my way to come here !

We love North Lime! So much so that we had them as favors at our wedding. Every new creation is more delicious than the last but you can't go wrong with classic Glazed and Chocolate Iced. Top off the experience with a delicious cup of Nate's Coffee. The Clays Mill location has plenty of parking and is easy to get in and out of if you're hoping to pick up a break room treat before heading into the office!
