A few blocks out of the center, but easy to find. Two rooms packed with locals; one room with aircon that was just what I needed. The LP guide recommended the fried shrimp, so decided on that. The food came pretty quickly with a huge mound of shrimp perfectly cooked! I’d definitely recommend this place! Good food, good vibe and friendly staff.

The only thing good about this place is that the food comes out quick, as in microwaved and stale. The staff is always rude and acts inconvenienced by getting Togo food or receiving tips, or by logically putting Togo silverware in a bag. It's baffling this glorified fast food joint is still in existence.

Service was quick. I appreciated the ordering at the cashier table than finding a seat and having it delivered to you. The indoor/ outdoor seating was cute and felt nice. It is certainly a popular place on weekends; the line will build up! The queso was the best I have ever had. The ranch was tangy and delicious! The sour cream was very thick. I ordered the quesadilla steak fajita. I appreciated the detail of the crispy pre-cut bites. The cheese was well melted and the steak was cut nice and thick along with the peppers. I wish there was additional steak for each bite however.

Local taco is a great casual chill lunch stop. The food always comes out really fast is always consistent. Everything on there menu that I've tried has always been good. The service was always very nice and fast. Love that they have outside seating with umbrellas for the warmer weather. Got the southern fried chicken tacos and guacamole and chips.

I love tacos but this place is just kind of meh. My boyfriend and I each got the 4 taco box, which in hindsight we probably could've split one box. The tacos were decent sizes. The actual tacos though were kind of dry, the flavor was good though, but just kind of blah. The real star of the show was the queso, that shit was good as heck. We did order the food to go so I'm not sure if it would be better in person, but the service was fast.

Stopped here today for a late lunch. Steak tacos and Spicy shrimp tacos were good. They were just cold and no offer of Guacomole sauce. I saw a Couple teammates jerseys on were on the wall as well. Always cool to see that. Mango Margarita frozen was very good. Great job on those to the young lady behind the bar. I would recommend coming back and for others to check out. 4stars because my food was cold, but A very good place to come get tacos and margaritas in Lexington.

I absolutely love local. They have delicious breakfast and mimosas if you are looking for that, but I tend to come for lunch. I come here a lot, and I have literally never been disappointed. They bring it out really fast, they are nice, and they will clean as they see your table is filling up. The only complaint I have is it can get really busy when UK has students, but it really depends what time you go. I really recommend the southern fried taco and the queso!

I feel like the only person not obsessed with this establishment, yet I have had plenty of good meals here. Mexican street corn is my favvvvvourite thing I've had here. It blew me away.

This was our first time at this restaurant and it was a busy Saturday afternoon. You order your food then take a table and your food is brought to you. We ordered 4 tacos to share, an appetizer that included queso, guacamole and salsa with chips and my husband had chicken tortilla soup. Our bill was just over $30.The guacamole was amazing. Fresh, chunky and delicious. The cheese dip was also very good and we used both on our tacos as well as dips for fresh crispy tortilla chips. We also had the Roja salsa and it was ok but not my favorite.The tacos were good but not outstanding. I really think they just needed more seasoning, maybe something as simple as salt.The restaurant was extremely clean and employees we interacted with were friendly. I would go back and try different tacos but I would definitely order the guacamole and queso again.

Walk in and order your food find a seat. We choose to sit at the bar on a Sunday. I ordered the frozen lime margarita, delicious! Trip appetizer, queso, guacamole, & salsa, very good! Entrees 1 chicken lime taco, 1 3 crown cheese enchilada , both were filling not great but not bad. Average. I would go back for the margarita. Hubby had Steak taco, brisket taco, & spicy shrimp. I give this place a 3.5 rating , hubby gives it a 3.5 also.

Not a lot of dining options in Chetumal so we decided to come here due to high ratings. The setting is quite casual but they do offer air conditioning inside for customers. I would describe it as a fast food place (Although it does do table service) The horchata was really good but we ordered two tortas which were fairly tasteless and the meat quite soggy. Overall I didnt rate the place.
