Fairly standard American Chinese food, never really had an issue with the quality or quantity of the food. I and my spouse have both had our cards compromised shortly after ordering from here though. Can't say I'd recommend ordering from them/eating there unless you're paying cash.

I couldn't find how to write a review for a specific menu item, even though I see some on the menu. There are currently two reviews of the Hot and Sour soup, and both are 1 star, saying it is the worst they have ever had. I feel bad for those people, because I have consistently told people that this is the best Hot and Sour soup I have ever had. Either the recipe has changed, or our taste buds are vastly different. I have actually enjoyed almost everything I have ever ordered from here.

I think Wahmei has the best Chinese food in Lexington. Everything there is good and their egg rolls are famously good. I don't think you can ever go wrong there.

This is the best Chinese in the Tates Creek area, if you looking for thin noodles and something spicy try the Chicken Singapore Chow Mei Fun!!!!

I’ve eaten here before on their Buffet and also picked up to go and have never had a problem… Not anything to write home about, but certainly adequate. I know I’m not in the heart of Buffet time at 4pm, but if you’re not going to have a Buffet suitable to eat from then you should close it. I am not a picky eater… And I’m not a perfectionist… I have a wide and varied taste in food… but this place had a Buffet where I couldn’t find ANYTHING worth eating. I ended up settling for egg rolls, which were overdone and tasteless and egg drop soup (also lousy), because the hot and sour soup was so hot with spice that I would have suffered later even though I have a pretty good stomach. I think the best part of the meal was the fortune cookie and my water! It was a really, really sad performance. Not only were many of the dishes nearly empty when I got there and still when I left… but there just wasn’t anything there I could eat . Food so overdone that I couldn’t even cut it with a knife! The person who greeted me was rude, and could not speak English at all. … she never even showed me where to sit. I had to find where she had put the drink down on my own. And she never did come to remove the plates with inedible food on them. I didn’t think it was possible to mess up some of these dishes… I mean, even the noodles and dumplings were terrible! Both kinds! Even their fried rice was dry and tasteless straight out of the rice cooker. I can’t say enough bad things about this experience, and I certainly will not be back. Find somewhere else to eat… Almost anywhere will be better.

This place is great! it's not fancy but it is consistently good and exactly what you want when you're ordering take away Chinese food. The owner is also very nice but without being overbearing.I recommend the fried wontons, they're extra crispy ?

Wah Mei is, simply put: amazing!CiCi (staff member that services front line operations) - always provide superb, personal customer service- and every order that I have ever placed has been correct, prepared at the best hot temperature- and packaged with care…The best- and VERY strongly recommend!!!!:-)

Not bad the first few times I had it. After an hour wait this round, they just decided to not make a $100 order. Oh well, not the only Chinese restaurant around if you didnt know.

I've been going here for years, food quality is always good so it's portion size.

The food is always hot, fresh and delicious! I used to eat at the Nicholasville location every week. Wah Mei is my FAVORITE go to!

Hot and Sour soup, Shrimp in Gaelic sauce and Singapore Rice noodles. It was the first time we ordered from Wah Mei and we were very pleased. The only negative was that the soup was too. Spicy. We will go back and I will ask for it to be made a little milder. You can always add more hot sauce.

I think this is one of the few Chinese restaurants that makes their own pot stickers from scratch. Their potstickers are among the best in Lexington.

Very displeased with a couple of things. Order shrimp fried rice and it had bout 8 shrimps in it. And I'm not exaggerating. You can't tell because how packed the pint box is. But then i ate next day and really saw it won't noshrimps. . I had 4 shrimps but alot of rice. Then the orange chicken had too much breading on it. Not enough to taste the chicken. Not happy after spending $34.
