I really wanted to give the Abbey restaurant a good score being a hometown eatery... sadly NO!! First of all...the music was soo loud we were unable to carry on a conversation with each other OR the server. The atmosphere was more bar like than that of a restaurant!! By the end of our meal I couldn't wait to get out of there!!! For my meal I had the Reuben sandwich with fries. The Reuben sandwich was good but GREASY!! The fries were COVERED in seasoned salt!!! My husband had the Cobb Salad with grilled chicken. Although he never thought he would ever say this... it needed LESS chicken and more salad and the guacamole had no seasoning. It also needed more dressing which he could have gotten for an additional charge!! A sandwich and a salad =$40. We were disappointed with our overall experience of eating at The Abbey!!

Waitress was excellent. Food was good. Music was way too loud in dining area. Selection of music was not family-friendly.

Fast and friendly service. Fresh, hot and delicious food. Great prices!I would recommend the bbq wings, cowboy burger, fried banana peppers or the fried pickles. Chicken tenders are tasty. The house made chips are good but salty. Go give it a try! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️UPDATE•••Go see H E A T H E R B. at The Abbey in London Ky. She is the best server in the Tri-County area. ??

Food so dang good I didn't even get to take pictures of it. I definitely recommend the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. The service there was completely stellar. Absolutely a necessary stop.

First time to have lunch at the Abbey, very disappointed. The Ruben was the worst I have ever gotten and my husbands hamburger was raw inside. Did not leave us wanting to come back. And the fried green tomatoes were cut so thin there was no tomato taste just a bland coating taste.

The food was really good. The service was very slow, and the item I ordered said very clearly on the menu that it came with 2 sides. I had to ask about it several times, and was told that the manager said it only came with one side. I requested the menu again, and it clearly said 2. Finally after the meal was essentially done she brought out my side salad. The receipt we got was not itemized, and I’m pretty sure they ended up charging extra for the second side. At that point it wasn’t worth bringing up and waiting another 20 minutes, so I just paid and left. First time in my life I left no tip…the service was just that bad. Shame too, because the food was really good and I’m sure we would have gone back.

If you can find parking it's a great place to eat. Can't blame them for the parking situation though. Food and service were awesome.

I was visiting London on a work trip and wanted to try the local fare. My appy of potato skins were actually some of the better ones I’ve ever had - perfectly cooked. Cesar salad was decent, over-dressed in my opinion and the Ruben was also decent, but slightly greasy. The PB pie however was QUITE delicious.Bar tender was very attentive, granted it was pretty slow early-evening on a Wednesday. Overall good experience, will plan to go again on my next trip.
